Witness the Hon. John W. Da¬ vis, Judge of said Court, this the 28th day of January, 1957. MRS. GRACE WILLIAMS, Clerk Superior Court, Dade County Georgia. 4tp—2 wks. Feb. 1st 2 wks in Mar GEORGIA, DADE COUNTY: To Whom It May Concern: WHEREAS, Monroe McKaig, S. C. Moore and Grady Bradford have filed their petition in which they state that at the junction of Trenton-LaFayette Highway and Scenic Highway, a county road known as Cloudland Can¬ yon road runs northwardly across lands of S. C. Moore and Mlonroe McKaig about 1400 feet to the West line of Lot 103 in the 11th District and 4th Section where it is intersected by an¬ other road which runs due North along the West line of said Lot No. 103 from Trenton-LaFayette Highway about 1200 feet to said intersection. Said latter road has been in use for only about three or four years, but has never been legally established as a county road. They represent that there is no necessity for both roads, and pray for appointment of Commissioners as provided by Sec. 95-201 if the Georgia Code to examine into the allegations of the petition to determine which of said two roads would be abandoned and discontinued and which should be established as the Cloudland Canyon Road. And WHEREAS. Paul Johnson, H. C. Gray and S. A. Huskey, Jr., were duly appointed Commis¬ sioners on January 31, 1957, said Commissioners have filed their report under oath on February 4, 1957, in which they recommended that the old road be closed and the new one used because it is shorter, straighter and can be maintained at less expense. Notice is therefore given to all persons that on and after the 16th day of March, 1957, good cause is shown to the con¬ trary to the Ordinary of Dade County, the old section of Cloud¬ land Canyon Road running from the junction of Trenton-LaFa¬ yette Highway and Scenic High¬ way Northwardly to the inter¬ section of said new road, will be abandoned and discontinued as public county road, the present new’ road as it runs along the West thirty feet of Lot No. 103 in the 11th District and 4th Section the Northern right of way of Trenton-LaFayette to where it intersects the old road will be duly established part of the Cloudland Canyon Road in lieu of the discontinued section. Every day these workmen are bringing atomic electricity a little closer. They are building a small section of the reactor vessel that will contain the nuclear fuel for the Enrico^Fermi atomic power plant near De¬ troit. Michigan. The Georgia Power Company is partici¬ pating in the project with 17 other electric utility companies, a group of equipment manufacturers and the TJ. S. Atomic Energy Commission. Electric utility companies throughout the nation are taking part in a total of 10 atomic power construction projects. Every one of i these developmental plants is scheduled to be in operation by 1962. With only 6 per cent of the people, the United States has about 40 per cent of the world’s supply of electric power. America produces more electricity than the next seven nations combined. Now we are taking the lead in finding the most economical and best methods of using- atomic energy to make electricity. The Geor¬ gia Power Company is glad to shoulder its share of responsibility in this great new job. GEORGIA POWER COMPANY a citizen WHf/tfVfft w i s t * v t
