Jones of Tuscloosa is visiting her sister, Mrs. J. B Geddle, and family. Mr. and Mrs. B. R. Perkins of Tulsa, Oklahoma were here Sat¬ urday for a visit with Mr. Per¬ kins’ sister, Mrs. Nettie Jenkins. Miss Wilma Pace, who has been taking a field course in public health nursing for the past few months in Detroit, re¬ turned home Monday. The devotional was given by the ladies reciting a Bible verse and the prayer was Mrs. J. O. Gass. The minutes were read and the roll call given by Mrs. D. P. Hood who also gave a report the council meeting at New Sa¬ lem. The report on the dress re¬ view was given by Mrs. Elliott. Ten aprons were made and taken to the Spring \al at Davis High School. Mon¬ ey for the scrapbook was col¬ lected and turned over to Mrs. Kate Elliott. Mrs. Sadie Kirt- land reported she had $5.25 on the cancer drive. We were very glad to hear we would have a county fair this year in Trenton. Miss Hubble asked everyone to be planning on entering something. We were happy to have Mrs. Gordon For¬ ester join our club. Miss Hubble’s demonstration was very interesting as well as helpful. The ladies each modeled hats as Miss Hubble read danger sig¬ nals for each hat. “Happy Birthday” was sung for Mrs. H. H. Bodenhammer who was having a birthday.
