Frost of Chattanooga, are vaca¬ tioning in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. * * * Mr. and Mrs. Gene Bates and daughter, Louise visited Miss Kathryn Bates, in Chattanooga Sunday. Miss Bates has just re¬ turned from a two-week vacation in Miami and Havana. • * • New owners of Chevrolets in the county are Neal Palmer, who has a new green and white one, Clark Byers, whose Bell-Aire is black and white, and Vernon Cure ton, who is driving a new red pick-up. • * • Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Pullen are visiting with his parents in South Georgia. Their son, Billy* who has been visiting there, will return with them. day they spent deep-sea fishing. Sixty-five pounds was their total catch and they have pictures to prove it'. • • • Mrs. Katherine Davis, welfare director, was on vacation last week. This week she is attending the 20th birthday celebration of the state welfare department in Athens at the University of Geor¬ gia. • • • Mrs. Elmer Bradford and son Donald Ray, and Mrs. Dewey Cor- nelison and children, Alma and J. C., from Scottsboro, Ala., spent the week-end with their sisters, Mrs. Gordon Hammond and Mrs. Vernon Gass. • * • Mrs. Margaret Bell and two children of Chicago have returned J to their home following a two- a wonderful time, especially the week visit with her mother, Mrs. Usry.
