Mr. Prill Strawn has from a four week’s trip to Louisville Ky. Mr. and Mrs. Randolph and children of St. Elmo Mrs. Florence Strawn Mr. and Mrs. Tommy of Chattanooga visited Mr. Mrs. Floyd Mitchum Sunday. Miss Gail Baker of White spent Saturday night with Glenda Mitchum. WEST BROW NEWS Last Tuesday night the com¬ munity League met. Left over business from the Fair was at¬ tended to. New business consist¬ ed of finding out how we can aid in the civil defense. Wednes¬ day the windows were placed in the community building. Saturday afternoon Connie McCarty was honored with a birthday party at her home. Stella McCarty had charge of the lively games which were en¬ joyed by all. Refreshments were served and the gifts were lovely for the young girl of ten. Saturday evening in the home of Jewel Plunkett, Carolyn Hix- ©n Morrow was honored by a shower. Seventeen /guests enjoy¬ ed the games and refreshments. Monday afternoon at 2:15 the •little Brownies gathered at the Community House to have the beginning of their troop meet¬ ings. 11 girls wer^present. enjoyed Songs by and games were ithe group. Officers were elected. Lynda Williams is the president with Linda Thames as vice- president. The secretary is Anita Teet and the treasurer is Lee Veal. Monday at 5:30 sixteen girls met to have their first troop meeting of the Girl Scouts in this community. An introduc¬ tion and general discussion took up most of the evening and then the voting took place of officers and the selecting of members for the patrols.
