33 YEAR OLD JUDGE MITCHELL of the Cherokee Judicial Circuit
Judge of Superior Courts in the state of Georgia. He was elected Solicitor Gener
Circuit in 1952, serving in that office until running unopposed for his present <
1956.
He is a “COMMON SENSE” candidate of wisdom and foresight who will work in close
harmony with the rest of the Georgia delegation.
JUDGE MITCHELL served as a combat fighter pilot in World War TI. and again saw
active duty with the Air Force in the Korean conflict. He is the father of three children and Sun¬
day School teacher in the Dalton First Methodist Church.
ERWIN MITCHELL was graduated from the University of Georgia law school, where
he was a member of the honorary Gridiron Club. After graduation he practiced law with Mitchell
and Mitchell law firm in Dalton,
OTHER ACTIVITIES of Judge Mitchell include, past president of the Cherokee Area
Tuberculosis Association, member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Erwin
was named “Young Man of the Year” in Dalton in 1955.
