Head River News The Misses Grace Johnson Chattanooga and Willie son of Hapeville, Ga. were end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Griff Johnson. Several girls from here last week at the Springs Bible Camp near ton, Tenn. They were Jane, Martha Jo and Betty Johnson, Katheryn Ross, and Frances Hughes. Mrs. Hinton was the former Miss Nell Murray whose grand¬ father the late George Murray moved into this community in the 1880’s and went West by covered wagon train in the gay nineties. While here Mrs. Hinton was able to visit and take many pictures of the old Murray house which still stands on the pro¬ perty of Hugh Forester. Her father the late J. C. (Jap) Murray was reared here. Word has just reached us that Mr. L. E. Holtzhower is in a very critical condition at the V. A. hospital in Atlanta. —Mrs. Hugh Forester Cloverdale Earl Walraven caught a Bob Cat that weighed 18 lbs. and was ft. long. The cat had been raiding his chickens and turkeys. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas, two children, and Mrs. Thomas’ grandmother are now living on the Wilkie property, formerly the L. S. Blake home place. The Thomas’ are from Athens, Tenn. The Emmett Reed family and their six children from Dayton, fTenn. live on the Campbell property. The Caseys have moved from the Lee Blevins place to H. G. Hawkins property. Mrs. Catherine Hawkins Good and family have gone to Alaska to be with her husband who is lin the service. Mrs. Lee Blevins (Grace) is in a Chattanooga hospital for an operation. The Charlie Bibles have had several of their children and ifamilies home over the week¬ end, Raymond, Ruth, Royce, and Mary. The Ed Bibles had George and family from Rockwood, Tenn. for the week-end, also Frances, (Mrs. Ben Alford) and two children from Knoxville, also Martha and Royce and two children from Ringgold, Ga. Also Willie Grace's neice, Mrs. Johnston from Rome was a (Short visitor with her friends Sunday p. m. Willie Grace went home with them. Ed has been haying, put up 91 bales. Crops are looking fine.
