E. Gross. Mrs. M. J. Hale, vice- president, who is now serving as acting president during the ab¬ sence of Mrs. W. C. Cureton, was ,in charge of the meeting. The club voted to set out jon¬ quil bulbs on the Dade High School grounds with the conser¬ vation committee to handle the (details. Mrs. Hale reported on )the fair flower show after which Mrs. Gross announced that the Conway Television Flower Ar¬ rangement Books had arrived and were on sale for $ 1.00 each, with several members taking extra copies to sell. It was decided that the club would again co-sponsor the Christmas Lighting and Decora¬ tion Contest with the Home De¬ monstration Council. Mrs. N. H. Hutchison will be chairman of the Garden Club committee. De¬ tails will be announced at the November meeting. Mrs. J. C. Nethery, program chairman, introduced Mrs. R. B. Crenshaw and Mrs. Hutchison, both of whom gave interesting -and informative talks on the prapogation of house plants and ithe need for civil defense, res¬ pectively.
