Morrison, ALL FAIR QUEENS TO BE MODELS IN CHARM CLINIC Thursday, Oct. 30, 8 p. m. at the Dade High Cafetor- ium begins the first session of the Charm Clinic sponsored by the £>ade Co. Home Demonstra¬ tion Council. The Clinic will be directed by a well known local authority, Knid Paalzow, Connie Wolfe from WDEF TV will present a ^Lecture on diction which will be a special feature of the course. The clinic will consist of move ments of grace, social graces, make-up, conversation, ward¬ robe on a 'budget basis, a com¬ plete wardrobe selection, etc. Mias Jean Lindsay (Miss Chatt¬ anooga) will be one of the models, also Miss Patsy Wheeler, , “ THE TRICK IS TO TREAT’’ Youth of the Wildwood community and possibly other com¬ munities in the county will be collecting for UNICEF on October 31, it has been announced. Residents are urged to be ready when their doorbells ring. The pastor of the Wildwood Methodist Church has asked all who would like to join in to be at the church at 6:30 p. m. to receive material and special instructions. Through UNICEF, the United Nations Children’s Fund, Hallowe’en gifts of coins help the children of more than 100 countries. Last year, UNICEF funds reached 45 million children and their mothers through programs of mass disease control, long range nutrition, mother-child welfare, and emergency help. Mrs. Betty Wood visited Mrs. Denzel West one day last week. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cooper visited her daughter of Long Island, Ala. Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cooper and family visited Mr. and Mrs. Bob Brown cne day last week. Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Moore had company Sun- last years fair queen and Miss Rochelle McBryar, present fair queen. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Brown are the proud parents of a baby girl born October 21, weighing 7 V 2 lbs. She is black headed and born on her mother’s 19th birth¬ day. She has been named Teresa Elaine. Mother and baby are doing fine at Mrs. Leona Wood’s home. Our Sunday School has in¬ creased a lot Sunday. Lots of folks are gathering corn and picking cotton. Estel Tinker is painting his bouse. Shorty Summerford has the roof on his house and most of the windows in. Wayne Bal¬ lard has a nice house completed that he has recently built. Lots of folks have flu. Lots of folks went to the Davis School last Thursday for their pictures made. Lots of blasting has been done on the rock for the No. 301 highway.
