F' iss Naomi Hubble Weds Harold Lyda Miss Naomi Mildred Hubble and Harold Wayne Lyda were married October 24 at the par¬ sonage home of Rev. and Mrs. Robert L. Hilten, Hiwassee Col¬ lege, Madisonville, Tennessee, with Rev. Hilten officiating. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Ralph E. Hubble of Chatt¬ anooga Valley, who held a re¬ ception at their home for mem¬ bers of the two families follow¬ ing the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Lyda of Rising Fawn, Gerogia are the groom’s parents. The bride wore a two-piece dress of medium blue woolen jersey. Her hat, in matching blue, was of velvet petals. She wore a white orchid corsage. The bride is Home Demon¬ stration Agent for Dade County, Georgia. The groom is employed by Mississippi Valley Structural Steel Company. Following a wedding trip to Miami, the couple will make their home in Trenton, Georgia. Brown of Rising Fawn, a son on Sept¬ ember 15; Mr. and Mrs. Earl W. Giles of Flat Rock, a daughter on Sept¬ ember 22; Mr. and Mrs. Herman Mc¬ Mahan of Wildwood Rt. 1, a son on Sept. 17. Club To Have Booth At Harvest Festival The regular monthly meeting was held at the Community Hou~e. For the devotion Mrs. Geraldine Dodson read the 1st Psalms and led prayer. The club presented Miss Hub¬ ble with a very pretty blanket as a wedding present. We wish her much happiness. The president, Mrs. Neely, told the ladies they are to have a booth at the Harvest Festival at Davis School. Either a cake walk or sell cake and coffee was primarily planned. Miss Hubbble’s demonstration was on gift making. Next month will be election month. Let’s all be considering who we would like for officers of the coming year, who will work to make the club a more profit¬ able one. Three new members were add¬ ed to the roll, and two visitors were also present. LOCALS Mr. and Mrs. Grady Bradford are the proud parents of a baby girl, Sharon Kaye, born Nov¬ ember 1, weighing 7 lbs. and 10 ozs. Mother and baby are doing fine in a Chattanooga hospital. Sherman and Gladys Moore carried his mother, Mrs. Kath- rine Moore to Oak Ridge Mon¬ day to visit Mrs. W. B. Logan, Edith was in the Oak Ridge hospital a few days for a check up and test. She is expected to be home soon. Mrs. Moore stayed in Kingston to be with Logan family. While in Oak Ridge the Moore’s visited Mr. and Mrs. Liston Johnson .(Grace Moore) and family. In Kingston ROCHELLE McBRYAR IN JUNIOR MISS GEORGIA CONTEST AT GARTERVILLE Miss Rochelle McBryar been entered in the Junior Georgia Contest, it has been an¬ nounced by Jaycee president R. L. Hadden. The contest will be held Nov 28-29 in Cartersville, Ga. with the winners of this elimination to enter the nation¬ al finals. The trip for Miss McBryar and her mother, or other chaperone, is being sponsored by the Dade County Jaycees who have the honor of being the first group in the county to sponsor a con¬ testant in a state beauty contest of this type. Beauty, poise, charm and talent are among the main requirements for entrants. The decision to send a Dade County entry was reached dur¬ ing a meeting of the club last Thursday night at the home of Jack Cash. Held in the form of a fish supper, the meeting in¬ cluded three new members, Donald Payne, Elmer Oliver and Phil Smith.
