New Home H. D. Club
To Hold Sewing
Exhibit May 3-9
The regular monthly meeting
of the New Home Demonstra¬
tion Club was held April 21 at
the home of Mrs. Lucille Hurst.
Mrs. Octie Patton had charge
of the Devotional, reading the
100th Psalm and leading the
Lord’s Prayer.
Mrs. Naomi Lyda made re¬
ports on the Council Banquet
and the Council meting to be
held in May.
Plans to have a Sewing Ex¬
hibit at the Community House
to celebrate National Home De¬
monstration Club Week, May
3-9 were made. Each member
will have articles on display,
with the ladies taking turns
being present each afternoon
during the week. This display, 1
will be open to the public each
lafternoon from 2:30 to 6:00
A membership drive was plan
ned at this meeting.
The May meeting wall be May
18 at the Community House.
The Slygo Club is to be invited
to visit with us. The ladies are
tc bring recepes, and samples
of same, using fresh straw¬
berries.
The hostess served refresh¬
ments to those present.
