opening of the new Pastorium
of the Morris Hill Baptist
Church in Hamilton Co., Tenn.

berry, former pastor at Rising
Fawn, is the pastor at Morris
Hill.
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Geddie’ and
Mrs. J. E. Geddie’s week end
guests were Mr. and Mrs.
Clyde Littlejohn and children
from Birmingham and Mr. and
M!rs. Charles Robinson and sons
from Oak Ridge. Mrs. Littlejohn
and Mrs. Robinson also visited
their brother-in-law, Mr. Tom¬
my McMahan, who recently suf¬
fered a heart attack and is in
the hospital.
Cloverdale
The Ed Bibles had as their
week end visitors, Sam W. Gray
and wife and daughter, from
Atlanta, former classmates of
Mrs. Bible. Also a sister and bro
ther-in-law from Rome.
Mr. and Mrs. John jarnigan
are moving into our part of the
county from Indiana.
There will be working at the
Bible Cemetery if the weather
permits.
Our road is still in bad shape
and almost impassable in spots.
NOTICE
By a proper Resolution, Dade
County Board of Education has
authorized the sale and removal
from the school premises in
Trenton, Georgia, of two (2)
certain buildings located there¬
on, generally known as the
Skating Rink building and the
Home Economics building. Said
buildings are to be sold to the
highest bidder. All persons in¬
terested are hereby notified to
deposit with the School Super¬
intendent of Dade County,
Georgia, sealed bid or bids for
the purchase of said buildings.
Separate bids for each building
are requested. Bids will be
opened Wednesday, M&y 27,
1959. in the office of the County
School Superintendent, who
shall have the right to reject
any or all bids if no satisfactory
bids are made for either or both
buildings. The purchaser shall
be obligated to tear down and
remove the building or buildings
contracted for, within ninety
(90) days from acceptance of
the bid and shall be obligated
to remove all debris from the
premises where said buildings
are standing so as to leave the
same in good condition.

Veterans of
Foreign Wars
Veterans in the county have
formed a Veterans of Foreign
Wars Post and will hold a meet¬
ing at the American Legion Hall
on Thursday, May 21. Officers
will be installed for the coming
year by State and District Com¬
manders.
This is a closed meeting but
members are asked if they know
-of another veteran who would
like to join to have him come
to the meeting early so he can
be certified before the meeting
starts.
