During the time of the contract, the farmer will receive an annual rental payment on the reserved land for the life of the contract, and he also will receive cost-sharing help in establishing approved conservation practice. For Georgia, the basic per- acre rate of payment under the 1960 Conservation Reserve is $12.00, the same as under the 1959 program. The tentative acreage goal for the State is 133,000 acres, subject to consi¬ deration and recommendation by the State ASC Committee.
