for Sept. 28, and will occupy the
tsidewak next to the store on
Broad street. If you’ve never
seen this affair, it’s worth the
trip to Atlanta. In carnival
mosphere the market takes
the appearance of farmer’s row
at a state fair.
And the event attracts thous¬
and of city folk, who spend,
thousands of dollars for farm
products. It attracts farmers
because all the expenses of ad¬
vertising, booth construction,
etc. is handled by the institu¬
tion and whatever a farmer
takes in, he keeps.
Its a big project and we’re for
it—especially now that it’s
going to help promote our
tomatoes. And with Gertie dir¬
ecting it, we know it’ll be suc¬
cessful. For when it comes to
putting in a Big Show—she is,
as they say, herself quite a
tomato!
