GEORGIA, DADE COUNTY TO THE SUPERIOR COURT OF SAID COUNTY The petition of W. H Haigier, Jr., A. T. Parker and Mrs. Garia Foster, hereinafter called peti¬ tioners, respectfully shows - 1 - Petitioners desire for them¬ selves, their associates and suc¬ cessors to be incorporated under the name of RISING FAWN SLAG & STONE COMPANY. - 2 - The object of said corporation is pecuniary gam and profit. - 3 - The general nature of the business to be transacted shall be that of purchasing, owning, crushing, processing and selling or exchanging, and generally trading and operating in slag, stone, rock and all other types of materials used generally in road construction work, but the petitioners also desire to engage in such other business as may be approved toy tne Board oi Directors where permitted by me laws of the State of Georgia. -4- that Petitioners further desire said corporation be vested with ail the rights and powers now or hereafter given to do any and all things which may be needful or proper in the operation ot t - above described business, and that said corporation have all of the powers enumerated and in Sections 22-1827, 22-1828 22-1870 of the Code of Georgia and all of the otherpowersand privileges enumerated fn Chap 22-8 and 22-9 of the Code of ter well such powers Georgia, as as as may hereafter be given by law. 5 - - The maximum number shares of stock shall be four hundred (400) of the par valu of One Hundred Do llar £ all ol „ wmcn t$100.00) per share,, shall be common stock. However, the amount ol capi¬ tal with which the corporation shall begin business shall be not less than One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00.). The corporation shall be authorized to issue additional shares up to tne maximum sum above stated, and thereafter, from tune to time, but within the limitations set forth in Section 22-1854 Georgia Code Annotated, to re¬ duce the amount of capital out¬ standing. - 6 - The time for which the cor¬ poration is to have existence is thirty-five (35) years with the privilege of renwal of the Char¬ ter from time to time upon upon the expiration (35) of said per¬ iods of thirty-five years. -7 - The County in which the principal office of the corpora¬ tion is to be located is Dade County, Georgia, but the privil¬ ege is desired of establishing branch offices and places of business, both within and with¬ out the State of Georgia. -8 - The name and post office address of each of the appli- cants for Charter are as follows:- 4019 Hickory , W. Y. F. Croups Hold Melon Cutting and Hay Ride Affair (Intended for last week) The Morganville and Slygo M. Y. F. groups held a hay ride and iiad a watermellon cutting Sat. night and it is thought that everyone had loads of fun. . . Mr. and Mrs. E, T. Holmes were sponsors of the entertainment and we were so proud of the worthy deeds that Mr. and Mrs. Holmes do for our youth and we want to thank them . . . Our churches were greatly unproved with attendance both in the church school and the morning worship services. —o— We are proud or the progress made in our Hooker Methodist Uiiureh as they have organized u M. Y. F. group and the Church attendance was at a high peek or 27 Sunday . . . The revival lias been a success at the Hook- v deti m office this 3rd day of September, 19o9. He was crushed during a logging accident and was admitted to the Ft. Payne hospital, however we are proud that it was’nt as serious as it could have been and Mir. Ginn has returned home, however his condition is’nt out of danger yet . . --Q- Our sick are still on the grad¬ ual improved list . . . Mr.,Frank Patterson is feeling much better and Mrs. Pattersn was with us in church services Sunday and we are so proud he is feeling better . . . Mr. Charles Hamlin is better and able to be up and going improves . . . and and Ben Raines Oliver still] is) Granny better and so is Granny Massey j Ad Doyle is’nt any better and' continues to grow weaker . . . Alex Hartline still continues to improve and we want your prayers for ail sick and shut- ins . . . —o— Our sympathies are extended to Mr and MIrs. Nelson Gothard and family in the death of Mrs. Gothard’s aunt Bertie Hanna of LaFayette, Georgia . . We i are in sympathy with Mr. Joej Roope and family in the pass- ' ing of Mrs. Bertha Doyle Roope .....the funeral was held Monday at the Whiteside Met¬ hodist Church and buriel was in the Hooker cemetary . . . Mrs. Hazel Street was admit¬ ted to Campbell’s Clinic where she underwent surgery and is still a patient, however her con¬ dition is greatly improved . . . ...Mrs. Tom slaughter has been real sick and continues to have to make trips to the doctor .. . Mr. Paul Dugan has entered Hawissee College and reports state that he is really enyoying his college life. . .Mr. John Got¬ hard entered Tennessee Weslyn College Tuesday and we feel that our boys will do good in college.
