THE DADE COUNTY TIMES Russell May Vacate Senate for Ernie Several Georgia newspapers are reporting “rumors” about the health of Senate Richard Russell. It is reported that Russell probably will resign because of ill health and Gov. Ernest Van¬ diver has his eye on the seat as Russell’s successor. He would get the job through appointment for the unexpired term from Lt. Gov. Garland Byrd. There has been no comment from either of the principals in¬ volved, but newspaper accounts quote “sources close to” or “reli¬ able sources say.” INFORMAL—Jumper made of rose-printed quilted cotton can be worn with leotard top for daytime activities or without a blouse to an informal Christ¬ mas party.
