PAGE 2 Says Signs Point Toward A Good Deer Hunting Season All signs point toward a good deer season for Georgia hunters, Fulton Lovell, director of the, Georgia Game and Fish Comis¬ sion, reports. Reports from Wilflife rangers throughout the state say there’ll be a record harvest this fall, if hunters do their Jobs. In north Georgia’s Chattach- oochee National Forest an abundance of mast and food patches insure whitetails of enough food to carry them through the winter. However, it will not injure the deer herd to (harvest more this time than hunters usually take home. In Dade County, prospects for good hunts are bright, accord¬ ing to District Ranger Bob Baker. Morgan County BIRTHPLACE OF THE COTTONSEED OIL INDUSTRY ' — .......... — ■ ■ * » - I Morgan County, founded in 1807, quickly gained national significance as the home of the great planter-inventor Lance¬ lot Johnson. Here, in the county seat of Madison, Johnson conceived and built the first Cotton Seed Huller in 1830 which served to launch America’s cottonseed oil industry. Today, this great industry flourishes in Morgan County along with dairying, furniture and olothine manufacHiring, seed and grain warehousing. In Morgan County, and throughout Georgia, tne United States Brewers Foundation works constantly to assure the sale of beer and ale under pleasant, orderly conditions. Believing that strict law enforcement serves the best interest of the people of Georgia, the Foundation stresses close cooperation with the Armed Forces, law enforcement and governing offi¬ cials in its continuing "self r ^Nation” nro^ am.
