Oliver’s Hula-Hula
Makes Big Hit At
Halloween Party
Halloween came to a sudden
stop at the home fo Mr. • and
Mrs. Elmer Olivers in Morgan-
ville, when the affair was clima¬
xed by having an original Hula-
Hula from the very far point of
the globe. Mr Oliver himself was
the Hula and did a very fine job
of the image, in fact he was the
winner of the masquerade. It is
felt everyone who attended thi^
wonderful party had barrels of
fun and the fine fellowship was
enjoyed by all who attended.
The final curtain fell on an¬
ther party for the youngsters at
the Slygo Community House
where the setting was arranged
by Mr. and Mrs. Benton Patter¬
son for the occasion. Mr. Patter¬
son was chairman of the com¬
mittee and all the youngsters of
the communities were there and
displayed their masquerade in
much style and disguise . . . •
everyone had a wonderful time
and games and prizes were fur¬
nished by Mrs. John Cure ton
land Mrs. Estelle Patterson. . .
The older youth of the Slygo
community were entertained by
a hay-ride and weiner roast
sponsored by the M. Y. F. and
Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Reeves were

SMITH BRIDGES
A sign of progress
on Geo rain s farms
\. mOUGHGUT GEORGIA, thousands* of farm
customers served directly by the Georgia
Power Company are farming better . . . elec¬
trically! Dramatic proof of this is the 286-
acre farm of poultryman Smith Bridges of
Jackson County.
Mr. Bridges’ laying flock has increased
from. 600 to 10,000 hens. For poultry chores
and other farm tasks, he and his two helpers
j depend on electricity. One of our rural engi¬
neers helped design the farm’s modern wiring
system.

For 32 years our rural engineers have
been helping Georgia farmers. They plan
farm wiring and lighting, help select and
install electrical equipment, find labor-saving
methods and advise on new developments in
farm applications of electricity. Their serv¬
ices are provided at no cost or obligation.

the leaders in that affair. The
Morganville older youth were
entertained by having a special
party given for them and the
(setting was at the Club-House.
Mlrs. Bill Pullen and Mrs. Elmer
Oliver were the hostesses of
that affair. Well, all in all,
everyone had a chance for
wholesome entertinment.
We are very proud to know
that Jimmy Gothard has re¬
turned from the hospital, where
he underwent surgery for a leg

football. Mr. Frank Forrester is
not much better, he had an¬
other attack and isn’t able to be
out . . . Mr. Ad. Doyle is about
the same, his condition doesn’t
seem inproved . . . Mrs. Mollye
Waddell is much improved and
related she has gained weight
since her last trip to the doctor.
