RESOLUTIONS
Adopted by Thk Middle Georgia
Military and Agricultural
College Cadets.
Headquarters Middle Georgia Mili
tary and Agricultural College, Mil
ledgeville, Ga., December, 1891:—
Whereas we, the officers and cadets
of the Middle Georgia Military and
Agricultural College, are desirous of
giving expression to our high appre
ciation of tile uuiform courtesies and
attention extended us by the Augusta
Exposition Company, the Confeder
ate Veterans’ Association, the Ogle
thorpe Light Infantry, the Electric
City Cadets and the citizens of Au
gusta: therefore be it
Resolved. That we are indebted to
the A ugusta Exposition ('ouipany and
its able management; that the cour
tesies extended by its broad-minded
generous and liberal president, Hon.
Patrick Walsh, were full and com
plete, and will remain a most pleasant
memory; that the post of honor, viz.,
“Escorting the Confederate Veter
ans,’’ was one which we will ever
esteem most highly.
Resolved, That the fatherly love
and kindness bestowed upon us by
the Confederate Veterans’ Associa
tion and its noble and generous vice
president. Capt. Edge Eve, was more
than we could have asked and will be
embalmed forever in our memory.
Resolved, That none but the mili
tary representatives of Augusta would
have exposed themselves to the in
clemencies of the weather in order to
escort us to our elegant, quarters; that
wo are indebted to the Oglethorpe
Light Infantry, their courteous and
gallant captain, Hardwick Jackson,
and his able officers for this and many
other courtesies shown us.
Resolved, That the attention paid
us ami the informal reception given
us hv the Electric Oi'y Cadets enlists
our gratitude, and we shall remember
its hospitable captain, Bryson, and his
able corps.
Resolved, That the hospitable re
ception and kind attention shown us
is m keeping with the reputation of
the “Electric City," that we shall ever
watch her progress with pleasure, and
ever cherish recollections of the Vet
erans’ Day as one overflowing with
kindness.
Rcsoived further. That these reso-
tions be engrossed upon the order
book of this company, and that our
president transmit a copy to The Au
