The fact that the County Commis
sioners were compelled to stop the
work on the Macon highway is to be
regretted. The highway department
of the State were delinquent in carry
ing out their agreement. How

There is one great outstanding

that is, he firmly believes that "a
public office is a public trust." He
believes that the people should be
informed in ail public questions, and

to provide a holiday for all of the
employes of the postoffice* and post
