the government nor did he go about
denouncing the ruler but worked in
season and out of season on the indi
vidual preaching and teaching the
principles laid down by his Lord and
Master.
The churches have gained nothing
by entering the recent political cam
paign. Their cause has been weaken
ed and when the Methodist church in
session in Atlanta recently voted to
continue their official organ “The
Wesleyan Christian Advocate” as a
political sheet, they laid open the
doors for just criticism and joined
with thoie who would tear down the
great principles nnd teaching of
Christ. |
Thus I end my say on politics, at
least the recent campaign.
