CADETS BOW TO GORDON
TEAM THANKSGIVING
Before a crowd that packed the G.
M. C. athletic stadium the Gordon
Institute Football team headed by
Coach Kid Cecil defeated the G. M.
C. cadets in one of the beat played
and moat interesting games of the
present football season.
The New Memorial Stadium was
packed with humanity for the begin
ning of the annual prep classic. Two I
of Georgia’s best prep teams were
pitted against each other battlcing
for the supremacy and those who j
went out to see a fierce battle got 1
their money’s worth. .
The two teams were battling hard |
at the end of the first half with Gor- j
don one touch down in the lead. G. 1
M. C. has carried the bull well in the
Gordon territory and had threatened
twice to score.
The Gordon team came hack with 1
a pair of fierce running backs who
in flashy sprints put over two more
touchdowns to leave the cadets stag
gering under a 19 to 0 defeat.
Kid Cecil has a good football teatr
and certainly has a claim for the G,
I. A. A. championship. He carries
a good scoring combination as well
as an excellent defensive organiza
tion. We ha~e not heard who has

YOUR automobile is some
thing like a miniature city.
There is an electric light and
power system, a water sys
tem, a fuel system.
In the new Ford, you will
find each of these systems
of the latest design and best
mnte"in!». Every pari has
l»een made to serve you faith
fully and well at u minimum
of trouble and expense.
Take, for example, the
generator—one of the most
important parts of thfc elec
trical system which supplies
the current for lighting and
for engine ignition.
In the new Ford, the gen
erator is of the power-hou c
type and is distinctive in
many feature*. It has been
specially designed to pre
vent most forms of trouble.
Oiling is necessary only once
a year. About the only thing
you need do is to have the
eliurging rate rhnnged as
the seasons change.
Closely allied lo the elec
trical system is the ignition
system. It, loo, is of new
mechanical design in the
new Ford. There is but one
high tension cable and that
connects the coil with the
distributor. Even cables
from the distributor to the
spark plugs have
been eliminated.
Special care has also
been taken to make the dis
tributor water-proof, thus
preventing short circuits
from rain, etc.
The entire electrical and
ignition systems of the new
Ford are so simple in design
and so carefully mafic that
they will give you surpris
ingly little trouble. Yet tliax
doesn't mean they should
attentions arc needed from
time to time.
The storage battery
should lie given water ami
the connections kept clean.
The generator charging rate
should he changed a B indi
cate:!. Spark plugs should
he cleaned at regular inter
vals. Distributor points
should a No In* kept clean
and the distributor cam
given a tight film of vaseline
every ^K)0 miles.
Thf/se are just little
thing*. but they mean a
great ileal to your car. You
ran have them looked after
at very : mall cost by the
Ford dealer when you take
the car in for oiling nml
greasing.
A thorough chccking-up
at regular Intervals will
lengthen the life of your car
and give you many thou-
sands of miles of
carefree, economical
