BALDWIN BOV SENIOR AT
MERCER UNIVERSITY
Judge W. H. Stembridge received
the Inst payment of pension money
for 11*28. and has placed it in the
l. inds of the old soldierw nnd widows.
tv • *al amount was $2,160.00 to
the divided between 12 veterans and
.11 widows.
The death of Capt. J. W. Roberts
recently leaves only 11 Confederate
veterans on the roll of Baldwin
covnty. hut three of these reside in
other counties. Therefore Baldwin
county has only eight veterans on the
pension roll.
Jim .Merritt, a white man, who
lived or th • R. L. Rcnfroe place in
East Baldwin, was found dead in his
home Friday morning. The body
when found was in a badly decom
posed state, and it supposed that
he had been dead since Sunday, as
that was the last time he had been
seen by any one.
Coroner Newton was notified, and
held an inquest. The result of the
investigation was that death was due
to natural cause, amf the remains
were buried in a nearby cemetery.
Macon. Ga., December 17.—Dr.

For rough skin
Elizabeth Arden suggests that
you use her Venetian Cleansing
Cream and Ar.lcna Skin Tonic for
cleansing the face, instead of
the harsher method of soap and water. Venetian Cleans in t,
Cream rids the pores of all dust and impurities, without rob
bing the skin of its natural oils. ArJena Skin Tonic refreshes
and tones the skin, and refines its texture. After cleansing,
rat rriskly with Orange Skin Food. This rich emollient cream
keeps the skin cells full and firm, and so prevents roughness
and flaking.
