Golden rod Egg*
3 hard boiled eggs
1 tablespoon butter
I tablespoon flour
1 cup milk
1-2 tea poon silt
1-8 teaspoon pepper
4 slices toast

egg? Chop whites finely and add
them to the sauce. Arrange toast

Hospital are certainly an attractive
and pleasai* group of ladies. I went
down then several weeks ago to see
a friend aud I intended to mention
it then, but just forgot it. They are
just as pleasant and nice as they
be. Miss Thompson, the head
nurse takes a great interest. All
the rooms have been done over and
they are so attractive, it was a temp
tation to take the rest cure and spend
while there.

1 lb. flour
*1 lb. brown sugar
1-2 lb’, hutter
1 nutmeg
2 qt«. pecans
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1‘teaspoon allspice
2 lbs. raisins
Vnnilla to taste
6 egg s
1-2 pt. brandy
Cream butter, .add sugar,
spice-. Add one egg at time. Flour
nuts and raisins. Steam four hours
and bake ha f hour.
Sunshine Candy
2 1-2 cups sugar
1-2 cup Karo syrup
1-2 cup water
2 egg whites
1 cup nuts
Cook -ugar, syrup and water to
aoft hall stage. Add by spoonfuls to
beaten whites. Beat well. Add nuts
Cocotnut Candy
3 cups sugar
1-4 teaspoon cream tartar
3-4 cup water*
1 grated coconnut
Cook sugar, cream tartar, water
together until it spin? a thread. Add
coeoanut and cook five minutes. Beat
until it creams.
