assistant applications, which the circumstances es the
case will dictate ; but for a general remedy or Purifi
entor to remove the cause, The Indian’s Panacea will
generally lie found sufficient.
The following certificates, out of hundreds similar
which might be procured, are given to show the effect
of the Indian’s Panacea, in the various complaints
therein mentioned : anil also to exhibit iu the most sa
tisfactory manner its superiority over the syrups in
common use.

CHATEAU MARGAUX, is placed under
the exclusive direction of Col. Alexander Carter, near
Mount Meigs, Montgomery county, Alabama and
will serve Mares at SIOO the seasonal to the Groom,
and limited to seventy Mares. The money to be paid,
in every instance, before the removal of the Mare.
Col. Carter is prepared to receive and keep Mares
at sl2 per month. Every Mare shall be well fed with
grain and provender, and returned to her owner in good
order ; otherwise in no instance will the money be re
ceived. Care will be taken to prevent escapes and ac
cidents, but no liability, should they occur.

involved ; and no case will be attended to, unless a
retaining fee proportioned thereto is forwarded.

notes of, or Bank drafts upon, the Banks in the Dis
trict. or in the Cities in the Atlantic States.

FLORIDA AND IKWINXON MAIL
STAGE.
THE undersigned, having obtained the contract
for transporting the mail from Columbus, Ga. to
Fort Gaines, Ga. by the way of Fort Mitchell, Flo
rence Irwinfon and Franklin, have commenced the
conveyance of the same in two horse Stages, and will
leave Columbus every Tuesday and Friday.at 5 o'clock
in the morning, arrive at Irwinton at 6 o’clock in the
evening on the same days ; leave Irwinton every YV ed
nesday"and Saturday morning, and reach Fort Gaines
at 12 o’clock at noon on the same days. Returning,
leave Fort Gaines every Sunday and Wednesday at
5 o’clock in the morning, sleep at’ Florence, and arrive
at Columbus every Monday and Thursday,at 2 o’clock
in the afternoon.
The proprietors have made such arrangements as
will ensure the comfort of those who may take their
line. Their horses and stages are good, their drivers
attentive and sober, and the houses at which (hey stop

oil the 25th day of December last, a Negro man
by the name of Stephen, a large man, of yellow coin*
plexion, about forty or forty-five years of age, five feet
nine or ten inches high, slow spoken, and very submis
sive when spoken to ; one or t\iu of his fore teeth aro
out; lie carried a large ‘lutidic of clothes with him when
he went away from Sumter. He was sent lurking
about a Mr. Levi Jenkins’, in Randolph county, nl>out
a week alter ; he was there no doubt, and probably is
there yet.
The above reward will be given for his apprehension
and delivery at (’ode & (imn’s, in Columbus, or for
his confinement in any jail, so that the subscriber may

FORTY DOLLARS REWARD.
RAN A WAV from the subscriber from Apalachi
cola, about three weeks since, my negro man
Richard, known as formeily owned by E, Latbrop
Esq. lie is about 28 years old, 5 feet 7 inches high,
sloiit and well built, black, with large head, neck, and
eyes, weighing about 175 lbs. rather a downcast look
when speaking to a white person, has with him plcntv
of clothes and money—2o dollars reward will be given
for his apprehension and delivery to the subscriber on
board of steamboat Ellen. Also the negro boy Cncsar,
belonging to James C. Watson, Esc. of Colutnbus, a
bout 40 years old, known generally as a pilot on tlin
river. The said negro is stout, built and has but one
eye—the sum of 20 dollars will be paid for his appre
hension and delivery, either to the undersigned, or at
Columbus to his owner, or safely lodged in any jail.
As the above mentioned negroes are supposed to l< to
gether ; nd well known by the men employed op all tho
steamers, masters of Steamboats are particularly re
quested to arrest and have them well secured, so that
the owners may get them.

STRAYED from Mr. VVfilimn Rogers’ Stand.on
the Montgomery road, twenty miles west from
Columbus, on the 22d inst , a sornd HORSE about
fourteen hands high,five or six years old, with heavy
mane, and tail, his legs are somewhat swollen. Said
Horse belongs to the Express Mail line, and strayed
i off with a saddle and bridle. Any person finding said
j Horse, and delivering him at any of the stands on the
road, shall he rewarded with ten dollars.

occupied by Isaac Nathans, Esa. and hopes, by con
stant attention to the comfort of Travellers, to receive
a liberal share of patronage. He will keep his Table
and Bar supplied with whatever is necessary for the
comfortable accommodation of visitors, and his Sta
bles also, shall he stored with a plentiful supply of Pro
