Harris county, by virtue of an order of the Infe
rior Court, while sitting as a Court of Ordinary, wiil
be sold, in the town of Hamilton, on the first Tuesday
in SEPTEMBER next, within the usual hours of
sale, the following tracts of laud, viz: One tract of
land counlaimng two hundred two and one half acres,

No. ’JO, lot No. 93. and two hundred and a half acres
of lot No. 94, two acres of said lot being reserved for
the use of the meetinghouse called Liberty, situated on
said lot, ah lying in one bo y in the 25 h district of
originally Lee, now Stewart county ; and the said
Alexander Nelson having died, without having per
formed the same, or making provisions lherefor by
will, and prays this Court to direct Thomas S. Chap
pell anJ William Netson, executors of the last will and
testament of tiie said Alexander Netson deceased, to
execute titles to the said lots and parts of lots of iand
to him the said Larkin Reynolds. Theres re, on mo
tion of De Launy and Gaulden, petitioners for the said
Larkin, it is ordered that unless good cause be shown
to the contrary, this Court will, on the first Alon Jay in
November n >xt, direct said executors to execute such
titles, and that this rule bo published once a month, for
three months before that ii ne.

take the greatest pleasure in recommending these in
stitutions to the favor and patronage of the public.—
From personal observation they have the most entire
confidence in the moral and intellectual education, con
ducted unser their experienced and highly competent
teachers.
The services of the present Teachers have been se
cured for the space of three years. In the male de
partment, Augustus K. Rugg, A. B. Principal; and
Klisses Lnvinia S. W ads worth.and Augusta A. Giles,
teachers in female department.
Two large and commodious rooms have been added
to the Female Academy, for the purpose of Recitation,
Music, Painting, and Drawing; and the Trustees
pledge themselves that no pains shall be spared to
place these among the best institutions in the court! ry.
The number of scholars in the Academies during the
first term was about one hundred.
In the male department are thoroughly taught all
the branches of Academic and Collegiate courses of
studies, in the best and most approved manner.
In the female department, besides the common and
higher branches of English Literature, will be taught
Latin, Greek, French, Drawing, Painting in oil ami
water colors, Mezzotinting, Vocal and Instrumental
Music, etc. etc.
