Mexican Mustang Liniment.
THIS invaluable preparation has been but a few months
before the people of the South, yet many thousands of
bottles have been sold and used in a great variety of
diseases, and it has g'ven universal satisfaction. We
U ve heard of none that were dissatisfied with it. We
offer it as a remedy in the various diseases and com- 1
plaints for which it is recommended, with full confidence ;
in curing them, as over four millions of Bottles have been
sold and used for a great variety of complaints, both ol
men and animals, and it has always given satisfaction, be
cause it has performed just what we said it would. It has
healed Cancers and scrofulous sores and ulcers that had
resisted the treatment of the Medical Faculty.
jjgf” A child in Frederickton, N. 8., a few days ago
burned its legs severely against a stove. The mother im
mediately applied Linseed Oil and Cotton Wool, with a
tight bandage over all; in a short time the screams of the
child induced the mother to remove the bandage, when it
was discovered that the cotton wool had taken fire by spon
taneous combustion and had considerably increased the
size of the burn. The mother happened to think that she
had part of a bottle of Mustang Liniment in her house,
which she got immediately and applied to the burned
limbs of the little sufferer, and as soon as it was applied,
the child ceased its cries and soon after fell asleep in its
mother’s arms, by the soothing influence of to s valuable
preparation.
This is to certify that the Mexican Mustang Liniment
has been used quite extensively in the stables of Adams <fc
Co.’s Great Southern, Eastern and Western Express, for
curing Galls. Chafes, Scratches, Sprains and
it has proved very effeciual. Many of their men have
also used it oil themselves and their families, and they all
speak of its healing aud remedial qualities in the highest
terms. One of our hostlers got kicked, and badly cut and
bruised on his knee —.ts usual, the Musicug Liniment was
resorted to, and the soreness and lameness was soon re
moved, and it was perfectly well in three or four days.—
We have no hesitation in recommending it as a valuable
preparation, to be used externally on man or beast.

Rheumatism. —This is to certify that my wife was af- i
•flicted with severe chronic Rheumatism ; she had suffered
for inont‘is with the most excruciating pains; site had j
tried Rheumatic Compounds, Reliefs and almost every 1
thing recommended for this dreadful disease. None of j
them relieved her pains in the least. She used a fifty cent
bottle of Mustang Liniment, and it cured her entirely; she
is now perfectly well, and recommends all of her friends
to use the Mustang Liniment.

I This valuable medicine, which has become celebrated for the
number of extraordinary cures effected through its agency, has
i induced the proprietors, at the urgent request of their friends, to
offer it to the public, which they do with the utmost confidence
in its virtues and wonderful curative properties. The following
certificates, selected from a large number, are, however, stronger
testimony than the meie word of the proprietors; and are all
from gentlemen well known in their localities, and of the highest
respectability, many ot them now residing in the city of Rich
mom , Virginia.
F. Hoyden, Esq., of the Exchange Hotel, Richmond, known
every where, says he has seen the medicine called Carter’s Span
ish Mixture administered in over a hundred cases, in nearly all
the diseases for winch it is recommended, with the most aston
ishingly good results. He says it is the most extraordinary med
icine he has ever seen.
Ague and Fever—Great Cure —I hereby certify, that for
three years I had Ague and Fever of the most violent description.
1 had several physicians, took large quantities of Quinine, Mer
cury, and 1 believe all the Tonics advertised, but all wilhoutany
permanent relief. At last I tried Carter’s Spanish Mixture, two
bottles of which effectually cured me. and I am happy to say I
have had neither chills nor fevers since. I consider it the best
Tonic in the world, and the only medicine that ever reached my
case. Beaver Dam, near Richmond. Va. John Longden.
c. B. Luck, Esq., now in the city of Richmond, and tor many
year- in the Post Office: has such confidence in the astonishing
: efficacy of Carter’s Spanish Mixture, that he has bought upwards

! to directions.
Dr. Mings, a practising physician, and formerly of the City j
Wotel in the city ot Richmond, say s he has witnessed in anum- :
, ber of instances the effects ot Carter’s Spanish Mixture which
were most truly surprising. He says in a case of consumption
dependent on the liver, the good effects were wonderful indeed.
Samuel M. Drinker, of the firm of Drinker & Morris, Rich

use of two bottles of Carter’s Spanish Mixture.

St. Johns, May 8,1851.
Dr. J. C. Ayer: Five year’s trial of your Cherry Pectoral in my
practice, has proven what I foresaw frm its composition, must
be true, that it. eradicates and cures the colds and coughs to
which we, in this section, are peculiarly liable.
I think its equal has not yet been discovered, nor do I know
how a better remedy can he made for the distempers of the
throat and lungs. J. J. Burton, M. D., F. R. S.

Sudbury, Jan. 24th, 1851.
Dr. Ayer: In the month of Julylast I was attacked by a violent j
diarrhoea in the ini,es of California. I returned to San Francis
co in hope of receiving benefit from a change of climate and diet, j
My diarrhoea ceased, but was followed by a severe cough—and j
much soreness. I finally started for home, but received no bene- j
fit from the voyage. My cough continued to grow worse, ard
when I arrived in New York, I was at once marked by my ac- j
quaintances as a victim of consumption. 1 must coufess that I
saw no sufficient reason to doubt what my friends all believed.
At this time I commenced taking your truly invaluable medicine j
with little expectation of deriving any benefit from its use. You ,
would not receive these lines did I not regard it my duty to state
j to the afflicted, through you, that my health, in the space of eight ;
months, is fuily restored. 1 attribute it to the use of your Cher- j

1 Dear sir: Feeling that I have been spared from a premature
I grave, through your instrumentality by the providence of God, I
will take the liberty to express to you my gratitude.
A cough and the*alarming sympt ms of consumption had re
duced me too low to leave me anything like hope, when my
physician brought me a bettle of your ‘’Pectoral.” It seemed to i
afford immediate relief and now in a few weeks time has restor
ed me to sound health. If it will do for others what it has done ’
forme, vou aie certainly one of the benefactors of mankind.
Sincerely wishing you every blessing,
I am, very respectfully yours,
