Hales of Land and Negroes, by Administrators, Executors, o
Guardians, are required by law to be held on the first Tuesday
in the month, between the hours of ten in the forenoon and
three in the afternoon, at the Court House in the county in which
the properly is situate. Notices of these sales muet be given in
a public f'az ‘Ue forty days previous to the day of sale.
.Vot ces tor the sale of Personal Property must be given at
least ten days previous to the day of sale*
Notice to Debtors and Creditors of an Estate must be publish
ed forty days.
Notice that application will be made to the Court of Ordinary
for leave to sell Land or Negroes, must be published weekly f©

the first Tuesday in September next, at the Market House

Agreeably to an order of the Court of Ordinary for Early
county, will be sold before the court house door in Blakely, on
the first Tuesday in October next, fifteen hundred and fifty acres
of fine cottou lands in two bodies, viz.: Lots uumbers two hun
dred and seventy-eight, three hundred and nine, three hundred
aud nineteen in the lourth district of Early, and numbers one
hundfed and seventy, one hundred and seventy-one, one hun

A dmlnlstrators’ Sale.—Will be sold in Cuthbert,
zi-Ran dolph county, on the first Tuesday in October next, the
settlement oflands on which Sterling G. Rodgers resided at the
time of his death. The settlement embraces lots Nos.2,4and
30, in the 6th district of said county, on which there are some
225 acres open and improved lands. Said lands are situated some
seven or eight miles west of Cuthbert, Ga. Terms on the day.

be particular to notice the stamps, as there are various
counterfeits and imitations t umped Collins and labelled much
like ours, which are Irauduieutiy sold iu seme parts of the Uni
ted States as our manufacture. They are made in different parts
of the country by various axe-makers, and generally their poor
est quality. The genuine Col ins axes, which have acquired
such an extensive reputation, are invariably stamped “COLLINS
t CO., HARTFORD,” and each axe has a printed iubtl with mv
signature. It is now more than Twenty-five years since we
commenced the business vrith the stamp of “Collins &. t o. Hart
ford,” and I do net know of any other axe-maker by the name of

IOST on the 18th ofthis month, in Stewart countv, Georgia, on
J the road leading from Florence to Columbus, between Flor
ence and the Muscogee line, a small blank book with one pocket
in it, used for a pocket book, which contained several papers of
value; among them was a bill of sale made by Mary D. Leith to
Win. Davis, of Russel count v, Ala., for a negro man named Tom ;
and throe notes of hand, one on Thomas S. Saunders, due the
25th of December next, Tor 567 and some cents ; one on John
Dawson lor $27 and some cents:, and one on Thomas Sattee,
near Floience, Stewart county, Ga., for $l2O, this note was given
tor the hire of a negro man by the name of Tom, which Sattee
now has in possession, made payable to Mary D. Leith, due the
25th o.’ December next. All persons are forewarned from trading
for saidlnotes, and the makers are hereby notified not to pay them
to any person but myself. Any information in relation to said
pocket book and paper* will betbankfullv received

STOLEN or strayed from the subscriber near Cuthbert, Ran
dolph county, Ga., on the night of the 13th inst., a sorrel
mare MULE of ordinary size, about four vears old ; mane neat
