PURE VEGETABLE EXTRACT.
DR. MORSE'S
INVIGORATING CORDIAL.
A PHENOMENON IN MED t NE J
Health restored and Life Lengthened.
Dr. Morse's Invigorating Elixir Cordial.
A T first the properties attributed to Professor Morse’s Invlg
orating Elixir orCordial were deemed fabulous. The pub
lic < (ten deceived could not believe the simple and sublime
tiulhsannounced by the discoverer. But lacte, undeniable
fects, attested by witnesses ofthe highest class and character,
are now triumphing over alldoubts, Incredulity is overthrown
by a m&6of testimony which is perfectly irresistible.
The Elixir remedies, in all cases, the deplorable evilsarising
from a misuse of the various organs, which make up the won
derful machine called tpan. It restores to full vigor every deli
cate function connected with that mysterious com pound agency
of matter and mind, necessary to the re-production of human
life. To persons oi feeble muscular frame, or deficient invita!
power.it is recommended as the only means of communicating
that energy which is m cessary to the proper enjoyment of all
the nataralappetites,as well as the higher mental attributes. —
Us beneficial effects are not confined to either sex or to any age.
Thefeeble, the ailing wife, the listless, enervat'd youth, the
overworn man of business, the victim of nervous depression,
the individual suffering from general debility, cr from the weak
ness of a single organ, will find immediate and permanent re
lief from the use of this incomparable renovator. To tho e who
have predisposition to paralysis, it will prove n complete and
uniniling safeguard, against that terrible malady, ‘iher 1 are
many perhaps, w-ho have so trifledwiththeir.con-titutions.that
they think themselves beyond the reach ot roediciue. Lei not
even these despair. The Elixirdeals with disease as it exists,
without reference to causes, aud will not only remove the dis
order itself, but
REBUILD THE BROKEN CONSTITUTION.
Thederansrement of the system, leading to nc-rvous diseases,
and the fomiiiol nervous disease Itself, are so nuineros s that it
would require a column to enumerate the maladies for which
this preparation is a specific. A low, however, may be enume
rated, viz : neuralgia.* tic dolercaux headache, incipient para
lysis, palpitation oi the heart, spinal affections, museular'debili
ty, tremors, flatulency, a pricking sensation in the flesh, numb
ness, mental weakness ol the will, indisposition to move, faint
ness after exercise, broken sleep and terrifying dreams, inabili
ty to remain in one placeor oneposition, weakness of the pro.
creative organs: sexual incompetency, melancholy,monomania,
floor albus, sinking at the stomach, female iiregularities,a
chronic tendency to miscarriage, emaciation, and allcomplaints
growing out ola free indulgence of the pas-dons, and all birre
uessthat does not proceed from organic causes, beyond the
roach of medicine.
Whenever the organs to be acted upon are free from malfor
mation or strictural diseases, itis averred that
MORSE'S

will replace weakness with strength, incapacity with efficiency,
irregularity with uniform and natural activity, aridthisuot only
without hazard or reaction, but with u happy effect ou the gen
eral organization. Bear in miud that all maladies, wherever
they begin, finish with the nervous system, and that the para
iization of the nerve ol smtiou and sensation is physical death.
Bear in mind.also, that for every kind of nervous disease tue
Elixir Cordial is the only reliable preparation known.
Cure of Nervous Diseases
Nolanguage car. convey anadequato idea of the immediate,
and almost miraculous change which it occasions in the diseas
ed, debilitated and shattered nervous system, whether broken
down by excess, weak by nature, or impaired by sickness—the
unstrung and relaxed organization is at once braced, re-vivifled
ami built up. The mental and physical symptoms of nervous
disease vanish together unde; - its influence. Nor is the effect
temporary, on the contrary the relief is permanent—for the
Cordial properties of the medicine reach the constitution itself,
and restore it toils normal condition.
Loss of Memory.
Confusion, giddiness, rush of blood In tho head, melancholy, de
bility, liis tori a, wrctcheddegs, thoughts of self-destruction, fear
of insanity, dyspepsia, general prostrat-ian, irritability, nervous

palpitatation of the heart, impotency, constipation, &c., trom
whatever cause arising, it is, it there is. any reliance to be placed
on human testimony, is absolutely infallible.
A Great Medicine for Females.
The unparalleled effects oi this great restorative, hi all com
plaints incident to fi males, mark anew era in the annals ol
medicine. Thousands of stimulants have been invented—thou
sands of invigorantsconcocted—a 1 purporting to be specified
in the various diseaeeeand derangements, to which the deiicate
formation oi woman render her liable.
Every Woman of Sense

would not have been so but for this extraordinary preparation.
And itis equally potent tor the many diseases for which it is
recommended. * Thousands of voutu men have been restored by
■using it, and not in a single instance hasit failed to benefit them.
Persons of Pale. Complexion.
Os consumptive habits, aro restored by the uso* o| bottle or

sickly color, to a beautiful florid complexion,
To the Misguided.
These are some ol the sad and melancholy effects produced by
early habits oi youth, viz.: weakness of tho back and limbs,
pains in the head, dim nets of the sight, loss of muscular power,
palpitation ol the heart, d\ spepsia, nc-rvousirrilability, derange
ment of the digestive fun idiom, general debility, symptoms of
consumption. &e.
Mentally, the fearful effects on the mind are much to be
dreaded. ’Loss of memory, confusion of Ideas, depression of
spirits, evil forebodings, aversion to society, self distrust, love
of solitude, timidity, &c.,are sonic of tho evils produced. Ail
thus afflicted,
Before Contemplating Marriage,
should reflect that a sound mind anti oody are the most necessa

these, the journey through life becomes a weary pilgrimage

This remedy has won for itself such notoriety from its
cures of every variety of pulmonary disease, that it is en

cures, that almost every section of the country abounds
in persons publicly known who have been restored from
alarming and even desperate diseases of the Jungs by its
use. When once tried its superiority over every other med

where its virtues are known, the public. no longer hesitate
what antidote to employ for the distressing and dangerous

fidelity and beauty will be read with interest.
Where.the urnmer lengthens itself into nine continuous
months, where the day is tiidiciohsoud the night cool and spicy,
1 the Southern man grows up n imbi© specimen of the physical
man, endowed with nervous vitality, for he h accustomed from
his earliest years to the most active cxerci -ta, engaged in ail the
athletic sports of youth on foot arid horseback,in the forest and
and the field : used to the pistol and the rifle, and the chase.—
Vet in every motion there is a degree of lassitude, surprising to
tiiose who understand not the effect of his clime, and which yet
imparts a degree. of ease, of graceful elegance, rarely possessed
except by an inhabitant ol u weiki southern climate.
in the Ion?, glorious noontides, swinging luxuriously in his
hammock, he inhales delicious airs, bmindtn.alas I with death;
tney have on his cheek tie? marks of his origin, and the tale is
soon told that tqe liver of toe soulhern rum is altogether out of
order. Ibis is a most mftgnillennt Pint, arid the fact wascentem
plated by the Greeks who mfcdc the word “melancholy,” w hich
means, by etymology, “a black or disordered Ivor.”
We fully agree wiili the gibed author of the above extract, and
are happy to call ihe attention of|ho;c. having a diseased liver,
or any of those digested-so coinmbm to a Southern climate, to
to Hampton’s Vegetable Tincture the great invigorator of the
