Beady for the Season!
I VERY RESPECTFULLY ANNOUNCE TO MY
friends and the public, that I have a splendid supply of
the GREAT SOUTHERN REMEDY,—I mean
JACK SMITH’S SOUTHERN CORDIAL,
the remedy for all classes ot Bowel Diseases, Flux Dys
enteries, Diarrhoea, (chronic or acute) the result of Mea
sles, Typhoid Fevers, &c., and in fact all Spring and Sum
mer Complaints of Children, and Children Teething. It
is the most reliable remedy, north, south, east or west—
notwithstanding the world is disgusted with humbuggery.
I am a Georgian, and have lived in Columbus for the la6t
sixteen years, and never expect to leave it. I appeal to
my neighbors for all the evidence of the above facts, that
the Southern Cordial has no equal for the above mention
ed diseases. lam asking for the worst case m Georgia,—
and if 1 fad to cure it, it shall not cost the parties one cent.
Oh, if the world could know as I know, aad as my neigh
bors know, how many Bufferers would find relief from this
cordial; but oh, how great is prejudice! Down with your
prejudice, one time; and try the Southern Cordial. It is a
remedy adapted to this climate; it is innocent in its na
ture and reliable in its medical properties.
Please call at the Planter’s Hotel, where I will take very
great pleasure in satisfying any unprejudiced mind that it
is economy itself for any and every family to keep a bottle
at home. The demand is increasing daily.
Call and give it one trial.

GEORGIA ALCAHEST.
DRS. T. & N. L. CALLAWAY,
HAVE invented a medicated compound for the cure o
all diseases of the Skin and Hair, which they honor
with the name ot the GEORGIA ALCAHEST! A
menstrum lons sought for and never obtained until now.
It is a remedy of the South, and we ask of the South a
fair trial of its virtues and effects on all the diseases we
claim for it—as a specific. Each week brings us tidings of
cures perfected by it, that exceed our most sanguine ex
pectations. It has no equal in preserving, restoring and
beautifying the hair; eradicating Scurf and Dandruff; pre
venting Baldness and Grey Hairs; curing diseases of the
Skin, Glands and Muscles, Bruises, Cuts, Sprains, Stings
of insects, Irritation and Swelling caused by poisonous
plants,Erysipelas, Ringworms,Scaldhead Inflamed Skin,
Prickly heat, Pimples, Scrofula, Tetters in all stages, Salt
Rheum, Sore Throat, Shingles, Rough Hands, Periodical
or Nervous Headache, Chapped Skin, Chilblains, and all
external inflammations. We will give a few vouchers to
what it has done, and trust the Alcahest to herald its own
fame when used.

The Scurf and Dandruff all fell off or disappeared, the

THE undersigned, manufacturer and sole proprietor of the
above orand of Whisky, would respectfully inform his
customers and purchasers of this celebrated brand that there
has appeared in the Charleston and other Southern markets,
a counterfeit ot the above kWhisky, being a poisonous imita
tion, branded similar to his brand. It passes under the name
of S. N. Dyke’s .Magnolia Whisky, Cincinnati, Ohio, and oth
er names similar to S. N. Pike. As there is no party in this
city by the nameof S. N. Dyke, i* is intended to impose and
deceive those who would purchase the genuine brand, I
make thi9 statement to put parties on their guard, as there are
several persons in the east and west makingan imitation, ana
usingmy name with a slight alteration. I have analyzed sev

tains a deadly poison. This fact alone impels me to cau
tion the public to protect those who are liable to be deceived,
and prevent the evil results attending the use of this poison
ous imitation. I also hereby caution the counterfeiters of
my brand, thatl will prosecute them to the lull extent of the
law. Tlie genuine 8. N. Pike’s Magnolia Whisky is distilled
trom the best qualities ofßyeand Corn, and is warranted free
from deleteriousor obnoxious compound, it being a pure and
healthy beverage.
Many parties have recently commenced making abrandof

trade brand, so be careful and get the only genuine Magnolia
Whisky made in the United States, and distilled only by me.
