Kids to get free meals at area libraries Two Jackson County libraries will participate in a summer food service pro gram offered by the Universi ty of North Georgia. UNG’s Human Services and Delivery Administration (HSDA) program will help provide meals to children without charge. The program will serve hundreds of meals across north Georgia to chil dren in need, helping fill the gap left by school meals, which children do not get during the summer. The sites being served and the dates and times of opera tion are: •Maysville Public Library, 9247 Gillsville Road, serves lunch from noon to 12:45 p.m., and operates only on Fridays. This site will begin operation June 3 and will end operation July 22. • Harold Swindle Public Library, Nicholson, serves lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and operates on Wednesdays only. This site will begin operation on June 8 and will end operation on July 27. In addition, the Commerce Public Library will partici pate in the Georgia School Nutrition Program, Seamless Summer Option, Mondays through Fridays beginning Monday, May 30. Mark, Kay & Roscoe BCHS classes set reunion for Saturday A reunion for Banks Coun ty High School classes from 1939 through 1960 will be held on May 21 at the Homer Methodist Church Family Life Center.
