Fourth annual
Banks County
Rabbit Show held
Banks County 4-H held
the fourth annual Banks
County 4-H Rabbit Show
April 23 at the Banks Coun
ty High School Agricultural
Center.
Nine Banks County
4-H’ers participated with
their rabbits and received
high honors in the show.
To participate in the show,
all members completed
a six-month program that
included monthly rabbit
production meetings, main
taining a record book and
practicing showmanship.
4-H’ers competed for
the high honors of Grand
Champion Showman and
Best of Show. The Grand
Champion Showman was
selected based on the
highest cumulative score
in showmanship, rabbit
production test and their
record book score.
The 2016 Grand Cham
pion Showman was Ean
Taylor with his Lionhead
doe. The Reserve Grand
Champion Showman was
Madison Wisecup with her
Himalayan buck.
The Best of Breed Award
is honored to the best rab
bit in the show. The 2016
Best in Show went to Mat
thew Embrick with his
senior Netherland Dwarf
buck. The Reserve in Show
was awarded to Ben and
Nate LeQuier with their
senior Mini Rex doe.
The judge was Bruce
Ford, president of the
Decatur Rabbit Breeders
Association.
In addition, 4-H’ers were
awarded high individual in
the following:
•Best Intermediate
Record Book - Matthew
Embrick
• Best Junior Record
Book - Ean Taylor
• Best Cloverbud Record
Book - McKenzie Gaylor
•Best Cloverleaf Record
Book - Madison Wisecup
There were also some
fun competitions held for
4-H’ers during the show

play - Jordan Prichett

Jordan Pritchett won best costume and best
decorative display in the Banks County 4-H
Rabbit Show.
Reserve of show
Ben LeQuier won the reserve of show award
and the combination display award at the Banks
County 4-H Rabbit Show.
Reserve grand champion
Madison Wisecup won Reserve Grand Champion and the Cloverleaf
Record Book Award at the Banks County 4-H Rabbit Show. Shown are:
