Banks Bowlers win National Championship
The Banks County Senior Center competed in and won the champion
ship in the National Senior League of Wii Bowlers. The National Senior
League is senior Wii bowling internet based league. Teams play in their
own community. No travel is necessary. Teams compete against other
Senior Centers, and Senior Living Communities all across the United
States. Legacy Link Inc. sponsored the Banks County Senior Center to
participate in this tournament. Lisa Howard, Wellness Coordinator for
Legacy Link, presented the Banks Bowlers with their championship tro

Jackson Comprehensive
High School.
Showtime on Friday will
be 7 p.m. Showtimes on
Saturday will be 3 p.m. and
7 p.m. Tickets can be pur
chased at the door.
The cast will star Colin
Chandler as Danny; Aly
Hertzog as Sandy; Matthew
Cheatham as Keinicke; Mia
Clegg as Rizo; Will Steven
as Doody; Katelyn Martin
as Frenchy; Ethan Fullard
as Roger; Taylor Russell as
Jan; Jacob Miller as Sonny;
Kendall Ashe as Marty;
Dee Tisdale as Eugene;
Madison Rytherford as
Mrs. Lynch; and Hanna
Lee as Blanche; as well as
many other Greasers and
Junior Pink Ladies.
Ticket prices will be
$10 for adults and $5 for
students in kindergarten
through 12th grade.

Ready for opening night
Rhylee Minish, Anika Johnson, Chloe Chandler and Mae Gaddis are shown rehearsing for
“Grease.” The East Jackson Community Theatre’s production will be presented Friday and
Saturday night at East Jackson Comprehensive High School.
Like father, like son
Keith and Landon McClure are the winners of
MainStreet Newspapers’ Father’s Day Lookalike
Contest. As top vote getters, the two, photo-
shopped together for their entry, won the $75
first-place prize.
CASA training coming up
The Court Appointed Special Advocate program will
hold training for new volunteers for local children in foster
care beginning Aug. 25. Classes will be held on Thursdays
through Sept. 29 at 6 p.m. through 9 p.m.
