water-based biblical theme for the five-day event.
Attendees of the First Baptist Church of Commerce’s vacation Bible school play a game
designed to teach the importance of paying attention, based on scripture demonstrating that
Jesus paid attention to the needs of those around him. The theme, “Surf Shack: Catch the
Wave of God’s Amazing Love,” focused on water-based events of the Bible.

Commerce City Schools has scheduled an early
registration period for new students enrolling for
the 2016-2017 school year. Registration will be
held at the Central Office on the following dates:
■ Monday, June 27,2016 from 7:00 a.m.
- 4:30 p.m.
■ Tuesday, June 28, 2016 from 7:00 a.m.
- 4:30 p.m.
