First 'Concert on Cherry Street'

Stranger tries to pull child out of pool
A Hillside Way Maysville,
woman said she saw a man
trying to pull her 10-yearold
son from the swimming pool.
She said she had never seen
the man before and he ran
into the woods when she
approached.
In another report, a Pleas
ant Court, Maysville, woman
said a man she knows came
through a window in her
home, came into the bed
room and stuck his hand
down her pants.
Other incidents reported to
the sheriffs office last week

• a dispute at a Main Street,
Talmo, residence after a
woman was fired and her
father came to the business
to complain.
•an animal complaint at
an Indian Trail Road, Jeffer
son, address.
•An Allen Bridge Road,
Talmo, man said his neigh
bor’s dog barked at him.
•trespassing at a Hamp
ton Creek Road, Commerce,
residence when a woman
returned home to find some
one had slashed the bottom
of her above-ground swim
ming pool and broke her oil
lamp and tea lights. She also
found a dog in her yard that
didn’t belong to her.
•A Hwy. 332, Hoschton,
man said his juvenile son
received a threatening text
message from another juve
nile.
•a suspicious person at
a Nicholson’s man hunting
property.
•a dispute between two
men at a Hunters Ridge Road,
Nicholson, address.
• a dispute between neigh
bors at an Oak Grove Road,
Athens, residence.
•a dispute between a
seller and a customer at the
J&J Flea Market, Commerce
Road, Athens, address.
•A Martin Road, Talmo,
woman said she has heard
people shooting at night and
believes they may have ISIS
ties and are practicing for a
mass shooting.
•a dog complaint at a
Stoneview Drive, Hoschton,
neighborhood.

Nicholson, woman com
plained about her neighbors’
dog.

home and found his door
unlocked.
•A Brockton Road, Jeffer
son, man said he was stand
ing on a dock at a fishing
pond when he heard gun
shot and then realized he had
been shot in the leg. He didn’t
know who shot him.
•A Gillsville woman said
she was driving on Maysville
Road and juveniles in the yard
shot a BB gun towards her
car and it hit a window and
broke it.
•possible road rage when
a woman said she was driving
on Hwy. 124 North and a man
began making gestures at her.
•fraud when an Athens
woman said someone called
claiming to be from the IRS
and stating she owes money.
•A Hoschton man said he
received a call from a man
with a foreign accent who
claimed he had won the lot
tery. He said the man asked
him to mail him a $399 Green
Dot card to cover the lottery
fees.
•A Pendergrass man said
he found evidence on his
daughter’s phone that she is
sending inappropriate photos
to someone he suspects may
be a predator.
