One of the victims said she thought she'd locked her vehi cle, but found her puise, valued at $400, and a wallet, valued at $100. missing. The wallet con tained two credit cards, a debit card and a checkbook. Another woman said that her credit card had been used at the Citgo convenience store in Maysville. whae the atten dant said two black males bought gasoline. The deputy recovered two purses from the trash can ttiat contained a lot of personal information, none of it from the complainant. A third purse was stolen out of a car the same day, and the complainant said it contained credit cards, tier passport and an iPhone 6. along with other papas. According to the inci dent repats, some of the prop erty recovered at the Maysville store belonged to tils victim. In another incident, a woman parted her car at Hur ricane Shoals Pails and walked across the brieve to do a photo shoot. When she returned K) minutes later, the passenger side window was broken out and her purse was missing. The purse contained her driver's license, a Social Secu rity card, ha birth catificate. three bank ATM cards, one American Express credit card, one Lowe’s aedit card, a walla and $15 in cash. Other Incidents Otha incidents on the east side of Jackson County inves tigated by the Jackson County Sheriffs Office include: Commerce Area •a repat of child molesta tion in which a middle school student reported getting a text from the father of his giilfriend saying if the boy had gotten her pregnant, the father would have him arrested. The bey told a counselor that the girl was a for ma girlfriend and they’d never liad intercourse, but that she had a stepbrother living at her home who had tried to have sex with the Byear-old and may have molested a 5year-old in the same house. • harassment reported ty a Hoods Mill Road man who received a message via Facebook from someone who alleged to have hacked his cell phone and was tracking him. •theft of a lantern and fold ing table from a Creston Lane resident. •theft of a 20(J1 Volkswagen Touareg from a Richmond Why address. • a repot from East Jackson Middle School of a juvenile on a school bus showing other students a video of herself smoking marijuana. •possession of marijuana by a student at East Jackson Comprehensive High School. • entering an auto at a Rich mond Why residence where a woman discovered someone stole ha - wallet containing a driver’s license, three debit/ aedit cards and her Social Security card. •a ainaway juvenile report ed at a Milestone Drive loca tion. The juvenile, when locat ed. first claimed to have been abducted ty several men, dropped off at Commerce and waited to her grandmother’s house. She later admitted tlrat she waited away on ha own. • Shoplifting at the Tommy Hilfiger outlet store at Banks Crossing whae a store clak said a man picked out three pairs of boxer briefs, waited toward the front of the store, selected a pair of gym shorts and athletic shorts, removed a pair of socks torn a display and ran ou of the store without paying. • a suspicious person at the Tanger Outlets at 12:58 am. A deputy on patrol saw a man on a bicycle enter the parking lot dressed in all black. The officer approached the man, who said he’d just left his job at a Banks Crossing restaurant and need ed cigarettes. But because he had no money to buy smokes, he decided to check area ash cans for cigarette butts. The officer warned liim about tres passing. •theft of a wallet apparent ly left in a classroom at the Foothills Charter School on the campus of East Jackson Com prehensive High School. Nicholson Area •battery at a Hunters Ridge Road location whae a man and wife got into an argument over money. Both had been drinking. •a verbal dispute on Old Kings Bridge Road over dogs allowed out without a leash. •a custody dispute at a Kes- ler Road residence where a woman said she got a call from her daughter saying that her grandmother was hitting and yelling at ha. The deputy con sulted with the Department of Family and Children Savices (DPCS), which promised to fol low up on the matter. •the illegal dumping of tires at a Jarrett Road location •a report of sexual battery at a Hwy. 334 location, whae a teenage girl told ha grand- motha tlrat the grandmotha’s husband had been “touching ha inappropriately and that when the grandmotha is not home, the man walks around the house nude. • battery repated at a Chan dler Bridge Road residence whae a woman said a man came into the kitchen, grabbed ha by the arms and face and yelled at ha, kissed ha and shoved ha to the floor. The victim and her boyfriend live in the same residence with tire complainant and the aggres- sa\ The report said the victim Irad multiple bruises on her arms and legs, cuts on a hand and other bruises. Tire man also backed the victim’s moth er's vehicle into a tree, damag ing the vehicle. •terroristic threats and acts on Chandler Bridge Road where dispatch advised that the complainant said her daughter was using drugs and told a neighba she was going to shoot the complainant. No witnesses could be found to corrobaate the threat, and the offender had left the scene. • suspicious activity at rental property on Cabin Geek Drive whae several people wae loi tering and claimed to be thae at the invitation of the tenant. When the deputy spoke to the tenant, he said he did not know the people visitas. They left the property •suspicious persons in the parking lot of Riva of Life Church on U.S. 441 where two cars wae parted and two females were talking at 12:38 a.m. When the deputy real ized bah had Class D driva’s licenses that prohibit them from driving between midnight and 6 a.m„ he had them con- tart someone to give them a ride home. • harassment at a Reynolds Drive location where a woman reported finding notes in her mailbox containing threats to shoot ha dogs. •a civil dispute at an Ed Bennett Road residence whae a woman came home and found the parents of tier ex-boyfriend removing items from her house. Marysville Area •harassing phone calls at a Silva Dollar Road address where a man said his daugh ter received harassing text messages from ha ex-hus band. The texts threatened to take their kids from her. •a dispute at a Hickory Way residence in which the complainant said a woman came over and began cursing her son. •a complaint from a Red Oak Road woman that a man she knew stole her riding lawn mower two months ago. She said she was too busy to report it earlier. •recovery of a 2005 Chev rolet truck at a George Doss Road location. The vehicle was stolen in Tallahassee, FL, on May 27. •theft of a bicycle from a Pleasant Aaes Drive yard. • a veibal dispute at a High land Way residence that began when the man thought a red mark on his live-in girlfriend’s neck was caused ty another man. •suspicious persons at a Church Street residence where a woman reported that a man and woman came to ha back door and showed ha two photos of items she owned he said wae posted for sale on CraigsILst. The man told her his phone directed him to ha residence. The vic tim said she had not placed an ad on the online site. • harassing phone calls received by a Lakeview Drive man who said he and some of his family members received calls from California from a woman looking for the com plainant's ex-wife, who the caller said faced three counts of felony fraud. •violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Art reported on Hurricane Shoals Road whae a vehicle passed an inmate work aew and threw a cigarette box from the window. A prisona picked it up and took itto the guard, who found suspected marijuana and methamphetamine in the box, along with a phone num ber. Officials liave the name of the suspect.
