Mr. Chandler was born in

Curtis Eugene Chandler, Sr.

dler. Mr. Chandler was raised
in Banks County and served in
the Army. He
married his
wife. Glad-
ys Massey,
in 1949 and then moved to
Doraville in 1956 to raise his
dearly loved family. He was a
hard working plumber and he
enjoyed being outdoors, hunt
ing, and fishing. Mr. Chandler
was preceded in death by his
infant son, Dennis Reuben
Chandler; and brothers, Curtis
Eugene Chandler, Jr. and Dan
iel Chandler.

of 67 years, Gladys Massey
Chandler, Gainesville; daugh

Sandra Cochran
MAUMELLE, ARK.
Sandra Lawrence Cochran, 69,
passed away Sunday, Septem
ber 25, 2016, at the Forth Val
ley Royal Hospital in Larbert,
Scotland, following a stroke
while on vacation.
Sandy was born December
5, 1946, the daughter of the
late Joe and Doris Lawrence
in San Antonio, Texas. Sandy
was preceded in death by her
beloved son, Chris Dameron.
Survivors include her hus
band, Randy Cochran; Chris’
wife, Karen Ellison Dameron
and their children, Erin Dam
eron and Jake Dameron; her
daughter. Tiffany Henderson
and husband, Johnny Hender
son, and their children, Rachel
Ramaswamy and Randall
Ramaswamy; son, Eric Dam
eron and wife, Jennifer Galvan
Dameron and their children,
Jackson Dameron, Sophia
Dameron, Drew Wolf, and Ava
Wolf.
Sandy was so proud to be a
“Texas Girl” and loved being
at her home in Boerne, Texas,
tending to the goats, Irish Dex
ter Cattle, and all the wild
life that accompanied a Texas
ranch lifestyle. Family was a
priority to Sandy; she was a
loving wife, mother, Oma, sis
ter, aunt, and cousin.
She relished her sisters,
Beverly Lawrence Porter
(Billy) and Brenda Lawrence
Partain (Mike) and brothers,
Larry Lawrence (Pam), Den
nis Rice, and Gary Rice and all
her cousins, close friends, and
her classmates from Burbank
High School in San Antonio
and her loving neighbors in
Maumelle and in Boerne.
“Cousins weekend” was a
highlight that they all looked
forward to regardless of the
location.
She had a passion and talent
for art, excelling in several
mediums, producing amazing
still lifes, portraits, and land
scapes. She added a studio
at the Boerne home to focus
on her art projects. Mention
travel and she was ready to
go. She loved seeing the world
and she did so with Randy and
friends and family on various
trips and cruises. She was the
life of every party with a truly
infectious smile and irresist
ible charm.
Funeral services were
held on Tuesday, October 4,
at Homer United Method
ist Church in Homer, with
Brother Jim McLendon offi
ciating. A private entombment
ceremony was held at Yonah
Memorial Gardens.
Sandy has dear special
friends in both Arkansas and
Texas. A celebration of life
will be held at a later date in
Maumelle, Ark., and another
in Boerne, Texas. Details of
these ceremonies will be forth
coming.

Margaret Hunter

Elizabeth Turnbull Hunter,
courageous woman, lov
ing daughter, dedicated wife,
mother, grandmother, great
grandmother, and friend died
peacefully at her residence
on Thursday, September 29,
2016.
Mrs. Hunter was born on
September 30,1932, the daugh
ter of James Vernon Turnbull
and Lois Blanche Gordon
Turnbull.
She grew
up in East-
ville, Ga.,
attending
Eastville
Elementa
ry School
and gradu
ated from
Watkinsville High School,
Class of 1951. She played high
school basketball as a forward
and enjoyed many school days
with friends.
She was a member of Union
Christian Church (Disciples of
Christ), where she was bap
tized. Following high school,
she attended Athens Business
College and worked in down
town Athens. In the spring of
1952, she met Allen A. Hunter,
Sr., and they married on Octo
ber 31, 1953.
Their life together included
membership at First Christian
Church (Disciples of Christ),
Athens, and attending the vari
ous activities of their children.
Margaret dedicated lifelong
work to support the efforts of
the National MS Foundation
following her own diagnosis
of MS in 1955. She coura
geously and with determina
tion continued a ‘normal’ life
carrying the symptoms and
difficulties of MS for over 60
years.
Margaret and Allen were
married 53 years until Allen’s
death in August, 2010. Their
legacy of love continue
through their children and
their families, Sheila Hunter
and Michael Small, and son,
Micah Hunter Small; Allen
and Sharon Hunter and their
children, Amberly and Matt
Doggendorf and children,
Landon, Lex, Lakelynn; and
Brock and Carrie Hunter and
children. Paisley and Autry;
James and Jenny Hunter and
children, Hailey and daugh
ter, Bella; Courtney Hunter;
and Meghan and TJ Peters
and daughter, Kate; Mary and
Paul Foies and children, Justin
and Shanda Foies and chil
dren, Allie and Nickolas; and
Elizabeth and Alan Carroll;
Virginia Fleming and children
Seth, Hannah, Elijah, Brianna
and Savannah.
Margaret Hunter’s friend
ships embraced many, both
extended family and friends,
as well as, strangers, who
became friends.
Survivors include her five
children and their spouses;
13 grandchildren and spous
es; nine great-grandchildren;
brother, Lamont Reginald
Turnbull; nieces, Beverly and

A celebration of her life

Church (Disciples of Christ)
in Athens. Internment was at
Evergreen Memorial Park.

len Little, 54, passed away
on Wednesday, September

years of
declining
health con
sisting of
myotonic
dystrophy
and recent
lung cancer.
Ms. Little
was born
on July 22,

in death by her parents, John
Henry Lewallen and Carolyn
Rogers Coalley; sister, Kathy
Ann Slater; brothers, John
Edward Lewallen and Norman
Lewallen; and grandparents,
Wiley and Dora Rogers, and
Oscar and Imogene Lewal
len. Ms. Little lived in Easley,
S.C., until moving to Georgia
as a teen. She was known for
being a loving and dedicated
homemaker and caregiver to
her children and grandchil
dren.
Survivors include her
daughter, Deidre Little Via,
Alto; son, Jonathan Little,
Alto; sister, Diane Lewallen,
Alto; brother and sister-in-law,
Jerry and Martha Lewallen,
Homer; her special grand
children, who she loved so
much, Destiny Seabolt, Kay-
lee Via, Karley Via; special
cousin, who she helped raise,
Sherry Hendricks; nieces, Jada
Lewallen, Amanda Lewallen
Wilson, Melanie Lewallen
Giddens; nephews, Jimmy

len and Clint Lewallen; her
boyfriend of 16 years, Mike

Mrs. Lewallen’s wish was to
be cremated, with no viewing.
She also expressed if anyone
came to visit, they were to
wear jeans and t-shirts. She
was down to earth and didn’t
want anything fancy, just to be
remembered as she was. She
was a “take me as I am” kind
of person.

Lewis Benjamin “Buddy”
Logan, 70, passed away peace
fully surrounded by his family

Buddy,
a lifelong
resident of
Madison
County,
was the son
of the late
Jowett and
Betty Mor
ris Logan
of Colbert. He graduated from
Madison County High School
in 1963, where he played
baseball, lettered in football,
and was an FFA officer. He
was a long-standing member
and deacon of Hull Baptist
Church and a founding mem
ber of the Hull Volunteer Fire
Department. He worked for
Sears for more than ten years
before moving to the United
States Postal Service where he
retired after 30 years of ser
vice. Buddy enjoyed playing
1962, in Frank-
church league and travel soft-
ball, and watching NASCAR
racing, the Atlanta Braves, and
especially the Georgia Bull
dogs. He was an avid fisher
man and enjoyed traveling. He
was a loving husband, father,
and grandfather. Buddy was
a kind, thoughtful man with
a generous heart for helping
others.
Survivors include his wife
and high school sweetheart,
June Elrod Logan, Hull; two
daughters, Kim (Clayton) Dar
win, Comer, and Kristi Logan,
Flowery Branch; three sis
ters, Shirley (Billy) McCarty,
Annette Shubert, and Sharon
Hillsman, all of Colbert; and
three grandchildren, Abbi,
Katie, and Ben Darwin, all of
Comer.

Edward Lord, 80, died Satur

ens Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Lord was born in Com
merce, the son of the late,
Edward Watson and Easter
Kathleen Nicholson Lord. Mr.
Lord was retired from Jackson
County, where he worked as a
building inspector and he was
a member of Maysville Baptist
Church.

Robert Lewis “Bob”
Moulder, 77, passed away on
Saturday, September 24, 2016.
Bob was born in Alpharetta
on June 4, 1939. He was pre
ceded in death by his parents,
Everett and Lula Mayfield
Moulder; two infant brothers,
Everett and Ralph Moulder;
brothers, Leon Moulder, Jerry
Moulder, Jim, Gus, and Eddie
Smith; and daughter-in-law,
Dana Moulder.
Bob was a member of
Maysville Baptist Church in
Jackson County. He loved
his church and his family.
He was a graduate of Milton
High School in Alpharetta, and
retired from Utility Services.
Bob was a very kind, thought
ful, loving and prayerful man,
who will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his sons,
Stephen and Michael; two sis
ters, Betty and Howard Spruill
and Barbara and Ray Doug
las; brother, Tom and Mary
Moulder; sister-in-law, Sharon
Moulder; sweet caregiver and

Dennis Bullock

Raymond Bullock, 65, passed
away on Sunday, October 2,
2016.
Mr. Bullock was born in
Athens, the son to the late Clar
ence and Helen Hall Bullock.
Mr. Bullock was a member of
the Arcade
for over
30 years,
where he
served as
fire chief
for part of
that time.
Mr. Bull
ock was
the rescue
chief of the
Jefferson Rescue Squad for
many years and was instru
mental in the designing of sev
eral emergency vehicles used
by Jackson County Fire and
Rescue squads. He was also
retired from Georgia Power,
where he worked as a mechan
ic. Mr. Bullock was preceded
in death by his brother, Donald
Bullock.
Survivors include his wife,
Curtis Jean Bullock, Jeffer
son; son and daughter-in-law,
Rev. Bryan Bullock and Karee
Bullock, Hoschton; daughter,
Lisa Fitzgerald, Commerce;
sister, Sherry Hand, Tampa,
Fla.; grandchildren, Andrew
