Mr. J. E. Tate, of Dahlonega,

Reply To “Reader.”
In reply to “Reader’s” letter we
to say, that it seems there is
one ready to take np every
they read. I know we have
of as good citizens in Shoal
as there are in the state, and,
all reports, there are some not
good. Mr. “Reader,” you were
of there possibly being a
who make whiskey in Shoal
I want you to know for
that I am not one, but if all
are true there must be some
takers as well as whiskey
in Shoal Creek, and if it
be found in brier patches, it
also be found in brush piles.
OBITUARY.
Mrs. Sallie Dean, the most pa¬
tient, kind and loving woman I
knew, died as she lived, at
peace with God and all mankind.
I have been with her in sickness,
and knew her to be one never tir¬
ing of doing anything to relieve
the suffering. I don’t think I ever
saw her without a smile. She has
gone where she will have no more
trouble, sorrow, sickness or death.
She was a true Christian, wife,
mother and neighbor. She was
faithful in doing all she could for
those less fortunate than herself.
She bore the many trials of life
patiently, and was kind to even
the lowest of God's creatures.
Whil on earth she walked with
God, now she shines with Him.
May the bereaved follow close in
her footsteps in life. We sympa¬
thize with the family in their loss,
A friend

better perform the duties in future.
Inasmuch as a good portion of my time
is now taken'up in the courts, it will be
an impossibility for rne to see all the
voters personally, and. so I take this
method of soliciting the support of all.
Faithfully yours,
Hour. McMillan.
