What was said to be the first ear
load of sugar ever imported through
the port of Brownsville, Texas, was

recently and was distributed in that
city. The sugar was produced in the
state of Vera Cruz. The importer an¬

more cars ordered he will sell it to
local retailers about $2.25 a hundred
pounds cheaper than the prices pre¬

The Antwerp Diamond company,
which operates three ‘credit jewelry
