Postoge rates of most interest to
the public, effecti vet’April 15 th, are
as follows :
'Third class matter consists of
books, circulars and oilier matter
wholly in print (except newspapers
and periodicals) and merchandise
up to eight otyices in weight. The
rate of postage is one and one-hair
cent for each two ounces, but the
rate of postage on books, cata¬
logues, seeds, cuttings, bulbs,roots,
and plants will be one ceet for each
two ounces.
Fourth class matter shall weigh
in excess of 8 ounces, and the rates
of postage thereon shall be the
same as now prevails, except that
when parcels are mailed at post
offices there will be an additional
charge of 2 cents for each parcel.
Registered fees will be 15 and
20 cents instead of 10 and 20 as at
present. If the sender requests
return receipt 3 cents is i.h'il ged

cents; over ten pounds 20 cents.
