Stone, that plans are rapidly being
completed for a special meeting of
the Nacoochee-IIiawassee Road
and Recreation Association at
Ellijay, Gilmer County, Ga., on

Barbecue given by citizens of
Ellijay at 12 130 o’clock P, M.

On the following day, May 2nd,
auto ride over the Kimsey lligh
; way will leave Ellijay at S o’clock
; A. M. ; thence north through Blue
Ridge to Copper Hill, Tennessee,
where stop will be made for visit to
the plant of Tennessee Copper
Company. Picnic dinner will be
served on the Kimsey Highway by
the Copper Hill Kiwanis Club,
after which the auto calvacade will
disband.
The main subject of this meeting
is to stress the importance of the
early completion of. the Atlanta
Knoxville highway connections,
and to secure county co-operation
for big highway loops through the
Georgia mountains for the develop¬
ment of this wonderful recreational
area at the earliest possible time,
accoiding to Secretary Stone, and
the success of this meeting is as¬
sured, he continued.
All good road boosters in Geor¬
gia, Western North Carolina, and
Eastern Tennessee are invited to
this meeting, and a good time
awaits all who attend this celebra¬
tion of MAY DAY in Ellijay.
