week as heretofore and of coursi
the local news that is of more vital
interest to each of you.

declared that if the Jones’ law is
used wisely it will help in the en
forcement of the prohibition, lit
says that it is out of the question to
sentence every violator of the low
to the penitentiary. For instance,
he states he sentences hundreds ol
violators of the law to the govern¬
ment prison every year and if ever
y one came under the Jones law
tiiero would he no place for them
Judge Sibley believes that this
law has already had it's effect upon
liquor traffic, lie states that if it
only affect upon the transportation
of liquor the Jones’ law will hnvt
served it’s purpose.

Mr. Law Hawkins, of Hall Co.,
is serving a three months sentence
in White County jail for violation
of the prahibition law. Judge
Sibley sentenced several more to
serve sentences here and they will
arrive later.

was a visitor in town Sunday.
