Iii Loving Memory
Of our dear father and mother,
Mr. and Mrs. \V. K. Nix, who,.de¬
parted this life one year ago. God
called for dear mother on the 2 7th
day of April, 1928, then in just a
few days later—the 4 th ot May,
1928, lie called dear old lonely
father to come and live with moth¬
er on the happy golden shore. Hut,
ah ! how sad and heart-breaking it
was to give them up, but still God
knows best and His will must be
done. Still vve love them dearly
as it has been many long, lonely,
id days, hours and months since
last we saw them and heard the
sweet voices of our Jbeloved father
and mother. We now look back
at the days gone ,by an oh, how
-ad it is to me as 1 look back at the
old blue ridges it makes me think
back to our childhood days' when
<>ur dear old mother would stand
by her old spinning wheel and
make thread, then put it in her (jld
loom and make cloth for her child
reus’ garments and for dear olti
lather who worked hard in the
goid mines and on the farm farm to to
make bread for us all. Oh! bow
sad it seems to think of giving
them 11 p, but we are trying not to
took ot this dark side of life any
more than we call help. We are
looking to the land of the dead
and living. We know in this life
we have to get ready to meet our
loved ones who are waiting for us
m glory. We are glad to say to
our many friends and loved ones

who are living that our dear father
and mother were sweet, good and
kind those who were sick
needy, and always ready to lend
them a helping hand, and were
loved liy till who knew tnem.
They were united to tire Cleve¬
land Baptist church in their early
days, and we feel sure that when
they departed this life they went
home to glory. Oh, bow sweet it
is to me to think of the old songs
they used to sing of the other side
ol Jordan in the sweet fields of
Eden, where the tree ol life is
blooming, 1 here is rest for me,
and now we can see them nor see.
their sweet voices no more. But
we con live to meet them where
Siui parting is no more, And now
to my friends, brothers and sisters,
here is a thought they have left for
us, are you at peace witli God?* If
no let us make ready for in a few
days we have to stand in God’ s
presence and give an account of
how we lived in this world, and
m)w let us make ready to meet Him
And, oh ! how it saddens my heart
todu > r when I think of how dear
old father in iiis lust hours calling
his children by name as if he want¬
ed to say to them, “Come on dear
children, the Lord is calling me
and f must go. Come on to meet
me on the happy golden shore.”
They are waiting for us in glory
and we know where to meet them
in the sweel bye and bye. May
God bless all who read this and
still my Christian friends may I
ask of you remember me your
prayers.
