The Loudsville writer has told
of a corn husking. Couldn’t tell
about a better thing. Remember
once upon a time we wrote about a
corn shucking and read it to Miss
josie Cark, our English teacher at
Duhlonega. We wrote that a fel¬
low that a fellow that had nevei
attended a corn husking for out in
the country was a failure and wa
a missing link in the universe ol
mankind. She was an old main
hut her critisuis were always kind.
She would criticize the .boys who
wanted to air their thoughts bus
would always rub her cheeks and
say; "Reg pardon.” She said
this so much it became second
nature with her.

Most ot tlie oldtime farmers who
have practiced the old time "live
