Pittman To Launch Intensive
Drive At Gainesville Rally

Thousands of citizens from Hull
and surrounding counties tire ex¬
pected to fill this city Saturday,
when Claude Pittman, candidate
for governor, will deliver another
of his sensational addresses at 3
o’clock in the afternoon.
Judge Pittman, who was princi¬
pal speaker at the huge ••Roose¬
velt Day” rally at Wat in Springs
on Independence Day, Inly 4 will
make Gainesville his first stop in
an intensive drive which will last
until September 12. the primary
date, and which will.take him into
every section of the stale.

The Robertstown Sunday School
went on a picnic last Sunday week
They took five trucks and several
cars. Over two hundred people
went. 165 took part in the dif¬
ferent classes. The picnic was at
Poplar Stump Gup on top of the
Blue Ridge mountain near Low
Gap. The CCC Camp have grad¬
ed a good road to the top of the
mountain. Rev. Cltas. Davis and
others made some interesting talks
tlso the good ladies who prepared
the dinner was congratulated as to
the quality as well as to the quality
Everyone had plenty to ate. 1 am
sgre everyone enjoyed t fie day.
No drunks were along, yet it, was
not a picked crowd. Looks like
we might haue one of these picnics
ever thirty days.
