By voting for ike CONTROL f
of Whiskey in Georgia
Do you approve of present conditions
ip Georgia, whereby whiskey is sold
practically anywhere, any time, fp
anybody, (including boys and girls }n
their early "teens) ? Do you think the
sale of whiskey should be left in the
hands of a lower, criminal element—
or do yon think its sale should he
entrusted to responsible parties,
under the rigid control pf the State
Government?
Don’t you agree that Georgia is
“dry” in name only: that as a matter
of fact about the only thing DRY in
Georgia is the State Treasury, which
is being deprived of badly needed
taxes* Tbesfi tax revenues are now
going to neighboring States, to boot¬
leggers In exhorbitant profits.
In voting for CONTROL on June 8tb, you are not
voting to legalize the s»»ip pf whiskey iff youp county
... decide You the are question merely* for voting itself, to allow later, eacjb local county to
at a election.

Increased continental production
where no domestic surplus exists
will increase the employment of
American labor on an American
basis (the highest standard in the
world), increase the demand on
capital goods industries and
make available the existing;

The richly fertile Everglades of
Flodida constitute the natural sugar
bowl of America. It is estimated that
if the present quota restrictions 0#
American sugar were removed, this
p :csl. alone would be capable' of pro¬
ducing 500,000 tom; of sugar a year,
and also of giving employment to 100,.
000 American workmen at a scale of
wages as high if not higher than the
average farm wage paid in the United
States.
The United States consumes as
much, sugar as all the rest of the
world, but is permitted by quota re¬
strictions to produce only twenty-five
per cent of its total sugar require¬
ments, and a bare five per cent of the
cane sugar used in this country.
Raw sugar is extracted from sugar
