To the Voters of White County.
I take this method of announcing my can¬
didacy for the office of Chairman of the
Roads and Revenues of the County subject to
the primary of March 11, 1952.
The present board has been in off ice 18
months and during that time we have pur¬
chased over $20,000 worth of road machinery
and paid for the same. We have reduced the
county's indebtedness more than half what it
was when we took office.
Upon a record of honest and efficient con¬
duct of the county affairs we offer again to
serve you as one of your commissioners and
pledge ourselves to work diligently for the
upbuilding of our county and to give the peo¬
ple an honest, efficient and progressive admin¬
istration of their county affairs. Your vote
and influence is earnestly solicited.
Respectfully.
C. G. Wike, Sr.
To the Voters of White County:

for Road Supervisor of the County Commis¬
sioners of White County, subject to the
primary to be held March 11.
I feel that my experience with machinery
and general work qualifies me for this office.
Your vote and influence will be greatly
appreciated. Yours truly,
Ray Nix.
To the People of White County:
1 hereby announce myself as a candidate
for Road Supervisor of White County, subject
to the Primary to be held March 11, 1952.
I have made an honest effort to serve every
section of the County the very best I could
under the condition of which 1 was trying to
repair and maintain the roads of the County.
I have been handicapped as you know from a
financial condition but have tried to make the
money serve as best I could.
I will not be able to make a house to house
canvass due to my duties of trying to keep
the roads to where the people can travel them
and would like to take this method of solicit¬
ing your vote and influence in Ihis campaign.
If you will re-elect me to this office of duty
I will continue to do the best service I possibly
Can.
Charlie Abernathy.

for Clerk of the County Commissioners, sub¬
ject to the primary March 11.
I will do everything possible in inducing
industry to locate in White County and will
make every possible effort to cooperate with
the state highway department in securing the
much needed farm-to-market roads that we
are entitled to. I will cooperate in every
progressive move to induce people to come to
our matchless county and to keep our county
pushing forward.
My past record in this responsible office is
well known and I feel that I can again be of
service to White County’s further development,
therefore 1 beseech your vote and. influence.

Owners of Dodge “ Job-Rated ” trucks enjoy the
outstanding economy of trucks that are “Job

specific job. Because they’re “ Job-Rated these
trucks stand up better, save money.
Come in today for the complete economy story.
Let us show you how a Dodge “Job-Rated” truck
will cut your hauling costs.
Reduce costs with economical power —Dodge
truck engines have four rings per piston, light¬
weight aluminum pistons, compression ratios as
high as 7.0 to 1, and other economy values.
Reduce costs with low upkeep—You get such
money-saving advantages as chrome-plated positive- top
piston rings, exhaust valve seat inserts,
pressure lubrication, and many others.
Reduce costs with bigger payloads— Because a
Dodge “Job-Rated” truck has better weight dis¬
tribution, it carries more load on the front axle.
As a result, you can haul bigger ^payloads.

SCIENCE’S FINEST GIFT
COULD EASILY BE KRILIUM
Science has come up with the best
thing it has produced in a long time.
It is a sort of soil hormone that
makes the most sterile land fertile
again. called krilium (rhyming with
It is
trillium), and the stuff is a synthetic
powder that sets up a reaction in the
soil and changes its structure. Hard
baked Georgia clay becomes rich
loam after an application. the Mon¬
Krilium was developed by
santo Chemical Company, and still is
in the experimental stage. Its possi¬
bilities seem limitless. Krilium-treat
ed land has yielded from 20 to 100
per cent more than untreated fields.
It checks erosion in wet weather,
helps the soil hold moisture in dry
weather, and may even reclaim the
country’s many barren acres of alkali
lands.
To a nation increasingly conscious
of eroded and depleted lands, the
news of the development of krilium
ie as welcome as was the wartime
announcement of the discovery of
penicillin.
To the old nations of the earth,
depleted and overpopulated, krilium
in time may mean greatly increased
agricultural production, fuller stom¬
achs and more peaceful minds.
Krilium, if it lives up to its prom¬
ise and ca nbe made cheaply enough,
may even mean peace. The well fed
nations seldom start the wars of the
world.—Editorial in Atlanta Journal.
