Jenkins County Board of Commis
sioners will accept sealed bids for
the Jenkins County- Millen Sports
Complex Improvements, located at
442 Recreation Drive, Millen, GA
30442, such bids to be submitted to
the Jenkins County Board of Com
missioners, Attn: Grady Saxon, 833
E. Winthrope Ave. Millen, Ga. 30442;
no later than 2:00 p.m., Wednesday,
August 14, 2024, at which time and
place they will be opened publicly
and read aloud. The contract shall
be awarded to the lowest responsible
and responsive bidder whose bid
meets the requirements and criteria
set forth in this invitation for bids.
Documents are available for pur
chase through the Office of the
Architect. Bidding documents may
be obtained at the Office of the

Documents are also available, at no
cost, as digital documents. Applica
tions for hard copy bid documents,
together with refundable deposit

The full amount of deposit, for one
set, will be refunded to each prime
contractor who submits a bona fide
bid upon return of such set in good
condition, within 10 days after date

Funding for this project is provided
by the American Rescue Plan Act
(ARPA), State Fiscal Recovery
Fund (SFRF), awarded under the
Governor’s Office of Planning and
Budget's Improving Neighborhood
Outcomes in Disproportionately Im
pacted Communities grant program
All contractors shall abide by all
Federal Requirements set forth for
the project.
Both a Performance and a Payment
Bond will be required, in an amount
equal to 100% of the Contract Price.

the Jenkins County Board of Com

by a Bid Bond or Certified Funds in

provisions of O.C.G.A. Sec. 13-10-

Jenkins County, in accordance with

tendent who works on the job has
at least five years’ experience as a
project manager or superintendent
and has worked on at least three of
the projects summited by the bidder
as similar projects.
4. That the bidder is current on all
property tax owed to Jenkins County.
No contract will be awarded to a
delinquent bidder.
Bids may not be withdrawn for a
period of 60 days after time has been
called on the date of bid opening. The
Jenkins County Board of Commis
sioners reserves the right to reject
any and all bids and to waive any
technicalities or irregularities and to
award the bid based on the highest
and best interests of the County.This
project will exceed $100,000 and
therefore this project will be subject to
the Public Works Construction Law,
OCGA Sec. 36-91-1 et seq.
