Pledge.—We will not make, buy, sell or use as a beverage,
any intoxicating drinks whatever, and will use all honor
able means to prevent tho manufacture, use aud the traf
fic therein for the use and purposes of a beverage.

free-born white male person, possessing a good moral char
acter, of sound health aud of the age of fifteen years and
upwards, who acknowledge and believe in the existence of

ted to membership; and any lady conforming to the forego

and past tho age of fifteen years, each and all of whom ac
knowledge and believe in the existence of an Almighty
God, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, tho Creator and Pro
se* ver of all things, to whom we are all accountable for eve
ry thought, word and deed, believing the Order of Knights
of Jericho to be iu harmony with those great principles
and well calculated to advance tho cause of Humanity.
Temperance and Charity, most respectfully petition your
honorable body to grant them a Charter to open a Lodge
of tho Order, to be located iu , post office, county
of , State of , to bo known aud hailed as
Lodge Knights of Jericho, of the State of . If grant
| ed, we pledge our sacred honors, as gentlemen, individually
' and collectively, to be governed by the Constitution, laws,
! rules usages of the Grand Lodgo and the Order at
! large. Enclosed is tho fee for Charter, Constitutions and

Tho Grand Lodgo of Georgia reserves t« itself the exclu-

of years to the invt Btigation of this particular department,
