How Lydia E. Pinkham’s
Vegetable Compound
Is-Prepared For |
Woman's Use.
A visit_to the laboratory where this
guccessful remedy is made impresses
ven the casual looker-on with tge' reli
ility, , Bkill and cleanliness
ch attends ge making of this great
medicine for woman’s ills.
Over 350,000 afiounds‘of various herbs
are used anually and all have to be
gathered at the season of th%?ear when
their natural juices and medicinal sub
stances are at their best.
The most successful solvents are used
to extract the medicinal properties from.
these herbs.
Every utensil and tank that comes in
contact with the medicine is sterilized
and as a final precaution in cleanliness
the medicine is pasteurized and sealed
in sterile bottles.
It is the wonderful combination of
roots and herbs, together with the
skill and care used in its preparation
which has made this famous medicine
8o sucoessful in the treatment of
female ills.
The letters from women who have
_been restored to health by the use of
Lydia E. Pinkham’s Vegetable Com-
Eoupd which we are continually pub
shing attest to its virtue. :

NEWS FROM OUR
OLIVE SPRINGS
Mr. T. F. Knox and mother, Mrs.
W. B. Knox, spent Friday at Hiram.
Rev. Geo. V. Crow and wife,
Messrs. 1. J. Reed, T. J. Brooke, J.
A. Pair and G. Edd Crowe, of this
place, attended the funeral and in
terment of Mrs. Crowe’s sister, Mrs.
L. E. Gann, which was conducted at
Rose Lane church on Sunday after
noon by Rev. J. J. Crowe, the inter
ment being in Shiloh cemetery. A
host of friends followed the body to
the grave and there paid the last
sad rite to their friend and neighbor.
Mrs. Gann had been a great suffer
for many years but bore it with pa
tience and fortitude. She had been
a consistenet member of the Rose
Lane Baptist church for a number
of years and died in that faith. She
leaves a husband, father and mother,
and several sisters and brothers, be
sides a host of friends to mourn her
death. We tender the bereaved ones
our sincere sympathy in their sad be
reavement. ‘
The past week the Victory force of
the Olive Springs Baptist church were
rapidly working to conquer a quota of
$900.00 on the great Baptist cam
paign. Many instances of genuinely
‘heroic sacrificial giving are reported.
Up to Sunday night, at which time
the committee met at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Reed, $1067.50
ihad been reported definitely and
‘enough had been underwritten to put
this church considerably over the
top. The committee of this church
have taken a most conspicuous and
admirable stand in raising this money
for the campaign. If there be anyone
wishing yet to help in this campaign,
would be glad for you to see Mr.
J. L. Reed| general director; Mr.
J. W. Barber, secretary and treas
urer; G. Edd Crowe, T. J. Brooke
and I. J. Reed, team captains; Mrs.
Jessie L. Daniell, Mrs. J. A. Pair,

much to the beauty of the property.
Someone on last Thursday night
stole Mr. W. M. Teem’s Ford car
from his home. This is the second
