Back In the Office Again
It is my pleasure, you may be sure, to be able to an
nounce that I am back in the office, able once more to
attend to the duties of my practice.
Of course there is a sore spot, but otherwise I feel
as good as new.
This injury happened to be the kind that demanded
immediate surgical‘attention and Doctor Blair is to be
congratilated on the masterly way he handled a diffi
cult operation.
A point I woud like _to make in connection with
violent accidents or injuries, is that in nearly every
case, there is a disturbance of the alignment of spinal
joints.
In Omaha a girl who was about to become a bride,
set fire to herself and in running for help, fell down a
flight of stairs. After three days of unconsciousness
she was adjudged insane because of violence and her
constant raving. As a last resort before sending her
to the insane asylum, a chiropractor was called, and in
one adjustment the girl regained consciousness. In
the course of the next month, adjustments restored the
disturbed spinal vertebrae to normal alignment and
the girl was able to proceed with her wedding plans.
"~ Recently a Cincinnati editor went bind. The
blindness followed a blow on the top of the head, when
he happened to rise up in the darkness of an attic and
struck a beam sharply. In the course of adjustments
the blighting effects of this accident were overcome.
And so I might run on. Accidents and injuries of
a violent cMaracter invariably produce spinal misalign
ment. The thing to do in addition to getting proper
surgical attention, is to have an analysis of the spinal
condition. It is just good common sense.

to carry women safely through the Change of Life. She says:
‘“lt is with pleasure that I write to you thankint% you for what your
wonderful medicine has done for me. I was passinf rough the Change of
Life and had a displacement and weakness so that I could not stand on my
feet and other annoying symptoms. A friend told me about Lydia E. Pink
ham’s Vegetable Compound and the first bottle helped me, so I got more.
It cured me and lam now doing my housework. Your medicine is certainly
woman'’s friend and you may use this testimonial as you choose.’’—Mrs. MARY
LISTER, 608 Frank gtreet, Adrian, Mich.
It is said that middle age is the most trying period in a woman’s life, and
owing to modernmethodsof living not one woman ina thousand passes through
this perfectly natural change without exp eriencing very annoying symptoms.
Thosesmothering spells, the dreadful hot flashes that send the blood rushing
to the head until it seems as though it would burst, and the faint feeling that
follows, as if the heart were going to stop, those sinking or dizzy spellsare all
symptoms of a nervous condition, and indicate the need for a special medicine.
Lydia E. Pinkham’s Veget:ble Compound is a root and herb medicine espe
cially adagted to act upon the feminine system. It acts in such a manner
as to build up the weakened nervous system and enables a woman to pass
this trying period with the least possible annoying symptoms.
Women everywhere should remember that most of the commoner ailments
of women are not the surgfical ones—they are not caused by serious displace
ments or growths, altheugh the symptoms may be the same, and that is why
80 many apparently serious ailments readily yield to Lydia E. Pinkham’s
Vegetable Compound, as it acts as a natural restorative and often prevents
serious troubles.
Lydia E. Pinkham’s Private Text-Book upon “Ailments Pecu
liar to Women” will be sent to you free upon request. Write
